Best facility ever, and friendly, helpful staff

Lulu and Chris were the absolute best! The service and facility are amazing! Rockland is very convenient by a walking trail that’s pleasant. Very dog friendly too.

Safe Harbor Rockland was delightful as always. The amenities are top notch and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Rockland is a wonderful place to explore with lots of museums and restaurants within walking distance. And of course Safe Harbor offers a car for longer distances.

Safe Harbor Rockland is professionally staffed by Lulu and Chris, 2 dedicated people who pay the closest attention to detail and service. Upon arriving Rockland the Dockmaster Chris and Assistant Lulu guided us in with directions to the slip and handled the dock lines, a carpet with Safe Harbor Rockland logo was placed where we disembark our boat. We were greeted with smiles and allot of positivity, a brief explanation about the construction going on and an in-depth explanation by the Dockmaster Chris about the state of the art electrical system that has been put in...in short, its a great system that eliminates stray current. The docks are absolutely beautiful, mahogany decking, electrical stations with the Safe Harbor lit logo, supplied water hoses at each slip is just over the top. The gazebo with a gas fire pit with beautiful outdoor furniture and pillows was such a nice touch, not to mention the perfectly manicured flowers surrounding the area made it so inviting...did not see 1 wilted flower out of the many hundreds in the outdoor lounge area..that is not by accident I'm sure. Our friends joined us for dinner, the picnic area and grills were spotlessly clean, the trash receptacles were highly varnished, the cans inside were empty of trash, clearly taken care of before the end of the day. The shower, bathroom and laundry area were perfectly neat and organized, my wife describes it as a spa..we both appreciated the cleanliness...attention to detail. In the morning, Lulu was out on the docks using the hoses to clean the docks of any seagull dropping or clam shell, she greeted us with warm good mornings and smiles. Safe Harbor Rockland is the epitome of a how marina should be. We have been coming here for a few years now and the top notch hospitality and service has not changed, cleanliness has not changed. Safe Harbor has 2 of the finest Stewards to care for the expansive new site and the many Safe Harbor members who stay or visit here. Safe Harbor is awesome. Chris. Lulu and the rest of the staff are top shelf. Bathrooms and amenities like laundry. bathrooms and courtesy beverages were a welcome break from the boat.

We had a fantastic stay at Safe Harbor Rockland. The staff was amazing. They were always friendly and very willing to do anything to help us out. The facilities were top notch even having clean towels to use in the showers and great free coffee. There was a lot of construction going on but the staff made every effort not to let that interfere with our stay. This is a great place to stay for Rockland’s Lobster Festival

First time at Safe Harbor Rockland and would definitely stay again. SH has definitely invested in the property with brand new docks and a clean new facility. Stayed on a mooring that was a few minutes from the docks, but not unreasonable. Really impressed.

Construction ongoing and sall ervices not yet there yet. However friendly and helpful staff more then made up for it. Courtesy car was appreciated. Shaping up to be a great facility.

Professional and very kind staff. Super clean restrooms. 4 working washer dryers. Best water pressure ever on a dock. There is some construction going on as the build out the facility but not really an issue. Also a slightly longer walk to Main Street (albeit on a very nice boardwalk that goes along the harbor).

Safe Harbor’s staff was very helpful and friendly and their facility and new docks (being built out now) look to be incredibly nice. The town is excellent (museums, restaurants, shopping). My only gripe is about how violently rolly the harbor is from boat wakes from first thing in the morning until 8pm. Take a SH dock (where it’s calm) or anchor in the SW corner. Personally, I think everything inside the breakwater should be No Wake (like Boothbay Harbor does). Until that happens, be prepared to secure your boat as you would in a small craft advisory.

This is our second visit this summer and it was equally as impressive as the first. I received a voicemail from Chris the morning of our arrival with our assigned slip location and the staff was waiting at the dock upon our arrival. A high quality marina with excellent service and attention to detail. The bathrooms are very clean but my wife noticed some mold on the bottom of the shower curtain in the bathroom. She told one of the Stewards on duty and they replaced the shower curtain with a new one within 30 minutes. They also replaced two others at the same time. The attention to detail and customer service is very refreshing. Thank you for a great visit. Highly recommend

Great service. Beautiful new docks.

We had a great experience docking at SH Rockland last night. Although the marina is under construction, Chris and his team found us a nice protected spot on their floating dock. When completed, this marina will be one of the most highly sought after transient facilities in Maine. We highly recommend. Although Rockland could use a little sprucing up there are still lots of good places to go and eat. The restaurant at the marina was closed (Tuesdays) so we took the short drive to 13 Oak using the SH courtesy car. Great food and experience. For breakfast we tried the Rockland Cafe. Good breakfast with a very local vibe. All in all, we had a very great time and can't wait to se the facility when its done. We'll be back.

We were incredibly impressed with the staff and services at Safe Harbor Rockland! They are an absolutely top notch facility. They literally could not have been more friendly or helpful! We will definitely be back! Rockland has great restaurants, museums and shopping plus there is a YMCA right next to the marina that offers daily memberships.

Great people. The staff makes all the difference. They took very good care of us. Great laundry and shower facilities. Also, we stayed there three years ago and had the same great service then.

This is by far the best marina we have ever visited on a SV. The nicest, most helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff, all of them: they brought our laundry into our dinghy. The facilities were useful, clean, and well appointed: plenty of coffee, towels, sundries, and fresh flowers in the women’s bathroom, free laundry on new machines. Fun watching construction of a new dock; there will be additional slip space soon.
