We were with the Smith Cove Yacht Club and felt very welcome attended to. Staff were great and generous, accommodating, great facilities. We particularly want to extend our gratitude to the stewards that provided much needed hands on assistance in helping us secure to the moorings! The launch service provided transportation to town, club officials were very welcoming.

Commodore and Vice Commodore greeting our club of 12 boats, provided us with space and grills to hold a small evening picnic. Members and staff were very friendly and helpful. Showers are clean and sufficient. There are lots of things to do in Bristol. We have been here before and will no doubt return again.

BYC was very accommodating with friendly personnel and members. They have two launches and the operators were skilled and stayed busy ferrying people back and forth at no charge. All in all a very positive experience.

Bathroom facilities are ok but the staff and club members are fantastic! The Launch took us over to the Bristol Town side at our convenience. They offer very reasonably priced homemade baked goods and coffee on Saturdays. The mooring field is exposed to the south so it can be a little bumpy in there. A really nice trip from Watch Hill.

JUne16-18 I had the distinct pleasure of experiencing your recently reconstructed facility. It is magnificent! Your staff were all very positive and knowledgable. Radio calls were answered immediately. Unfortunate for me, I arrived one week before your lounge opened! No worries!! I shall return.

BYC always makes sure things go smoothly! Launch directs you towards your mooring, and drops & picks you up at Independence Park for an easy walk into town.

Beautiful location, launch operators who can take you to the club or drop you off in town and pick you up again. Good facilities for showering and all around friendly people. A great place for transients.

This is two reviews. The lower one is from last year. This year, we were equally pleased with the staff and service. We were lucky to sit out the waves and wind from Hurricane Erin in this beautiful harbor. The launch drivers were excellent and highly skilled in rolling waters. We will be back.
The staff and club were among the best we’ve visited. Being on crutches, I especially appreciated the launch drivers who were were so competent dealing with windy, wavy conditions and were still able to help me get on and off the launch safely. The harbor is beautiful and the fireworks were an added treat

Easy in/ easy out! Great harbor with restaurants, bars and a really nice bike/ walking path. Friendly staff provided a mooring escort for easy check in and launch was responsive and welcoming. Thank you Bristol Yacht Club for a great stay!

Welcome to Bristol Yacht Club, where our outstanding amenities combine with the historic and picturesque charm of Bristol, Rhode Island, to make a perfect landing spot for visiting boaters. At BYC, we welcome both visiting cruising clubs and individual cruisers. All are welcome to enjoy our easily accessible moorings and Club facilities.
A rental at BYC includes free launch service to our docks, grounds and newly renovated Clubhouse … and to the Independence Park dock for access to downtown Bristol with its many restaurants, shops and historic treasures.
We welcome you to tie up dockside to take on water and purchase ice – and to chat with our friendly staff about all Bristol has to offer. We invite you to use our launch or dinghy dock to access our bathrooms and showers (open 24/7), and our playground, gas BBQ and picnic areas.
Our Clubhouse, completely updated in 2019, offers a relaxing bar, lounge and a porch overlooking the harbor – a perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail while chatting with new and old friends. Or pull up an Adirondack chair dockside, steps from our outdoor bar and play area.
It is a short “country” walk from our property to enjoy the beauty of Colt State Park and the family-favorite Coggeshall Farm. Just steps away you can rent paddle boards, kayaks and bicycles – a perfect way to have fun on Bristol harbor waters or the East Bay Bike Path.
For extended cruisers, we’ll direct you to area supermarkets, hardware stores, laundry, sailmaker, and marine supplies and repairs.
