Sadly, this marina fell well short of expectations during the 2026 boating season. The apparent lack of concern regarding the condition and availability of the restrooms was particularly disappointing. Several facilities remained inaccessible due to repairs, leaving slip renters frustrated by the ongoing inconvenience. Even more disturbing was an incident I personally witnessed at approximately 2:00 a.m. while working on my boat. I observed what appeared to be human feces floating with the tide beneath the docks. I suspect this may have been the result of boat owners illegally discharging their onboard waste directly into the marina waters, possibly due to broken or inoperable pump-out facilities on other docks. My concern is that some individuals may have been waiting until late at night, when most people were either gone or asleep aboard their boats, to discharge their waste unnoticed. While I cannot confirm the source, what I witnessed was both disgusting and deeply concerning from a sanitation and environmental standpoint. I am aware that numerous slip renters raised complaints about these conditions throughout the season. Others expressed similar frustration over the prolonged lack of access to restroom facilities. For a marina that depends on its slip renters and boating community, maintaining clean, accessible facilities and protecting the surrounding waters should be basic priorities. Unfortunately, during the 2026 season, those responsibilities appeared to have been seriously neglected. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements before the 2027 boating season.

The marina is in pretty much in disarray At this point. The pump out station doesn't work correctly, the fuel dock has been shut down for almost two years, the docks are terrible shape with boards loose and uneven causing a tripping issue.Parking is atrocious, especially if you're on any of the docks from f doc to the end. The bathrooms by the state police barracks don't work most of the time. They issue parking passes, but no one ever checks, and eighty percent of the people Parking there don't even have a parking pass and nothing is done about it for the last four years or longer. It is supposed to be a secure marina with lock gates at the entrances, and most of the summer they don't work. This allows people from the venue, the deck to come down and walk the docks. Without any supervision, even the cameras don't see much. I had things stolen and no one knows why or can see anything on cameras. The biggest problem is it's run mostly by the golden nugget, and they really don't care about it. God forbid something like the electrical box or water breaks by your boat. It could take weeks to get it fixed. That's enough for now, there's other things that are problems, but let's just leave it at that. Which I think is a lot, especially for the money. That's being paid to stay there.

Excellent. Dock master does an outstanding job.

There is ample parking. Locker rooms with showers are usually kept clean. The water is deep, sheltered from severe weather, with easy access to the ocean via the deep, well marked Absecon inlet. The only complaint is the condition of the docks. They have seen better days and need to be upgraded.

Bathroom/bath houses could use a remodeling. The wood on the docks need to be replaced.

Great place! Easy inlet, floating docks, lots of food choices. Bathroom and laundry room need some attention though.

The docks were comfortable but pretty tired. Tight maneuvering into transient dock slips but manageable. The real disappointment was the out of service fuel dock. Looks like it had been out of service for some time but was not updated in the dockwa listing, picked this location because it had a fuel dock.

* update* our second stay better than the first. Great communication through dockwa and Liam the dock hand was there to help us into our slip. Called on channel 65. We will be back. Great value. This Marina is perfect for an overnight stay. Docks are very easy to get in and out of without help. The dockmaster communicated first thing in the morning of our arrival and gave us all the approach and slip number assignments needed. Price is great for what you get. We were here on a Monday night and the restaurants close by (Chart house) was closed. Took the JIT ( a ride share that runs around town and for $3 a person) into the boardwalk (Hard Rock Casino). Go directly through the Casino and you will hit the boardwalk and beach.

We enjoyed the Golden Nugget Marina because it was a unique stop on our voyage southbound. The Mexican restaurant inside was very good and so were the well margaritas at the bar! We had requested dock assistance and they never showed up. Also, they gave us a slip two doors away from a real problem child. He blasted music until midnight, again blasted it at 0600, and did not care about those around him. His dock slip is H42. They say he’s a squatter and have been dealing with him for some time. Question is, why on earth would you put paying customers anywhere near this man child? We did not feel safe with this guy two doors away and we had to pass his slip to get to the casino. The stench of pot smoke emanating from his ratchet boat was nonstop. Don’t let them put you on H dock until you verify H42 is no longer there.

The marina itself is very nice with wide fairways and slips. We let them know we were arriving and two dockhands were waiting for us. There is 50 amp power and water at the slip. Unfortunately both the marina restroom/showers and the public restroom on the first floor of the restaurant were filthy .

For one zero dock hands. I never saw anyone from the marina. Probably could have just grabbed a slip. The docks could use some work. Lots of loose board and screws sticking up. Electric and water hook ups were all good.

9/2/2024 - All I can say is that it's cheap. The dock staff was helpful with docking; that's the highlight. Docks were filthy with bird droppings. Bathrooms were also not clean. The patio restaurant was closed, and the casino was smelly and overpriced. Good for a night, but plan to stay on your boat. We need someone to try and "Make Atlantic City Great Again." 6/29/2023 -I look at this stop as a necessary evil. The marina is okay. Staff is very friendly at the dock, but not so much at the front desk. Facilities are basic and fairly clean, but a hike from the transient docks. Food options are horrible. Expensive, or you have to brave the Casino, which just plain REEKS of stale cigarette smoke. I could not stand it and had to go back outside! It's easy in and out for the NJ crossing, dock and stay on your boat!

2 dock hands were great the docks were covered in bird feces and a clete was broken that i had to fender or it would scratch the boat. Nice neighbors and transiants however marina is tired. No Fuel!!!

This marina is only good for a transient overnight. The docks are dirty and the 50 amp power on the dock is inadequate. We actually had to run our gen because our reading off the dock was so low.

One night is generally not enough to fully judge a marina. The marina while functional could use some updating. The floating docks are worn and lean to one side. Power and water units worked well. The major downside for us was the dockside resturant had a band playing to 10:00 PM. And they were way too loud and not very good. Not just our opinion, several other boater said the same. But its a good stopping point if you are heading south from NYC or going north from Cape May. Price was very reasonable given the northeast.

Great spot, only docked for the evening and stayed at the hotel so do not have any feedback on amenities. Docking and communication was easy.

I had given up ever expecting GN/FSM ever improving. Dirty, broken, and disinterested used to describe this place. NOT ANY MORE! Wow, the last time I was here in 2020, I vowed never again and had been anchoring out off the CG base. Last night, anxious about dire weather predictions, I bit the bullet and requested a slip. First, they answered quickly! Surpise #1. Then they posted a phone number to call that actually worked! Finally, a dock hand showed up to help. Our stay at GN far exceeded our admittedly low expectations; nevertheless, we did an impromptu inspection of the Marina and are thrilled about the improvement. We'll be back!
