Friendly staff and the loaner car a great perk. Allowed me to see the Maine Granite Museum and Seal Cove Auto Museum, both of which aren’t on a shuttle route. Also great for runs to Hamilton Marine. Ended up staying 4 nights because so much to see.

8/27/26-Great stay at Dysart's. Good docks. The staff is helpful and friendly. Well-maintained courtesy car. Walking distance to town and restaurants. The slips are protected by break walls. They host lots of large yachts, and it is busy with many lobster boats, yet there is no rocking at all! Live lobsters on the dock at $8.00 per pound, and they have steam pots and grills on the dock for you to cook them! Highly Recommended!

Nice work by Dysart's and staff on our two night stay! Shore power and water hookups were seamless; plus we got refueled and pumped out as well. A short walk (0.4 mi) to "downtown" SW Harbor and great food + shops, plus another good restaurant just uphill from the marina office. Friendly and helpful staff. The courtesy loaner car made reprovisioning at the IGA a snap. We would come here again.

We chose this marina to get sway from the bustle of Bar Harbor and Northeast Harbor. Southwest Harbor is a quieter part of Mt. Desert Island, yet has excellent bus service to get you anywhere you’d like. (We fid hiking and bicycling.). The marina itself has al the amenities you’d expect at a quality facility. There also appears to be god access to marine service if you need it.

Dysarts Great Harbor Marina in Southwest Harbor is our favorite summer home. We’ve been enjoying their hospitality for a decade. The staff and dockhands are friendly and beyond helpful. The dockmaster is THE BEST! We’ll be back for sure, we love being part of the DGHM family.

We spent 8 days at Dysart’s as a base for hiking in Acadia and exploring the area. The slip on A dock was excellent, and fairly quiet. The staff was always helpful and responsive but far from intrusive. There is a good mix of boat sizes and seasonal and transients. We particularly appreciated the available courtesy car which you simply take from the parking lot whenever it’s there and you need it. One of us was slightly injured in a fall while hiking and we used the car to go to the walk in clinic in Ellsworth. Without it I guess we would have had to rely on the local taxis. I recommend Dysart’s. If you go remember they only monitor channel 9, not 16! Enjoy your stay!

Thank you for your feedback. Our restrooms and showers are cleaned at least once daily. Our portable restroom is cleaned weekly or as needed. It's likely with the influx of guests during the days of the yacht club cruise the supplies got used up faster than anticipated in whichever facility you were referencing in your review, we will promptly address both. We politely hope you will reconsider the 2 stars as all of our crew work hard and those who haven't stayed with us rely on reviews. Great location and nice staff. Unfortunately, marina was overbooked and we were required to tie up to the fuel dock the first night. No shore power electtricity available. We were moved the second night to a better slip but alas, there the shore power did not work. We were required to use our generator for the whole 2 night stay. Have not seen a refund yet.

We're sorry your stay was affected by the dock assignment and the shore power issues, we did try our very best to accommodate as many yacht club cruise member as possible. While we worked to move you to a slip as soon as one became available, we understand how frustrating it was to have to rely on your generator during your stay. We were unaware of the lack of power during your second night. All shore power has been refunded. We had a very enjoyable experience staying at Dysarts for 2 nights. Floating docks were quite protected and comfortable during nasty weather. We slept like babies. Micah and his team were very accommodating including the complimentary use of their PU truck. We highly recommend.

Absolutely part of what I call the top 10%! Got in the marina, was directed to where I needed to go (fuel dock) and then shown where I will be staying at the dock! By the time I got there, I had the dock master himself assisting me to tie up the sailboat. The facility is very clean, well organized and situated near everything you may need! Just a super friendly place. On my second trip was equally impressed!
