Shipyard Island Marina

Love it here. Great food at the Sailors Pub, friendly help at the dock. No problem getting in with 5.7 draft. Line up the bouys

This was our first visit to Washington Island and staying at the Shipyard. We enjoyed using the car to explore the island along with our bikes. Andy was very responsive when we had questions and provided suggestions. We will definitely come back for another visit and stay at the shipyard. We would recommend the Sailor’s Pub for a wonderful dinner.

Friendly. Good communication before we arrived. Came out to help us land our boat. Smooth stay. Sailors pub next door was also AMAZING! Excellent food.

We arrived at the marina after office closed but Andy had messaged us with all the pertinent information about our slip assignments and access codes in advance. The marina is clean and comfortable and staff was very helpful. It takes a little courage to get there through the channel, but it’s totally worth it!

Just an overnight stay. The courtesy car was a boon, super convenient. The approach in requires a bit of attention, especially if your draft is around 8-feet. Clean restrooms and the staff is happy to assist with lines.

Great owners and staff. Very friendly and helpful. At dock pump outs and courtesy car was an added bonus.

What a wonderful marina and view! The owners are charming and kind. They offered a courtesy vehicle as well! We will absolutely be back!

Very good overall. Could use clothes hooks by the shower. Toilet had an internal water saving tank and as a result had a very weak flush. facility was clean and well maintained. Courtesy car was a real asset.

Really enjoyed our stay. Clean and modern bathrooms, staff was very helpful. On site restaurant is a real bonus. We’ll be back!

Andy the harbor master was great and Danette at Sailor’s Pub is a awesome bartender.

Nice stay overall, with a great view…but you need know the type of marina you are booking a slip with, this is a working marina and their focus on their service/repair department, not so much for their slips/transient guests. The docks were adequate, electric and water at each slip, we did not use them, but the bathroom and showers were clean. They do not provide anything beyond this though, if you need anything, you need to walk into the shop and grab a mechanic. They advertise selling ice, but they do not. You really need to prep a head of time before coming in. We had a dingy, so we were able to run across to the town, for ice and supplies, if not you would need to figure out transportation, as its way too far to walk. I will also add (though not affiliated with the marina) the Sailors Pub provided a wonderful meal!

The setting was beautiful however there was no marina assistance during our stay.The only communication was through text . We lost power the evening we were there and never got it back up to our departure. The restaurant near us was super good!

We have been visiting this marina for 25 years. Wonderful family owned operation. Quiet with fantastic sunsets. Extremely friendly seasonal boaters. Sailors Pub adjacent to marina is not to be missed.
