Safe Harbor Zahnisers

2nd time stopping here. Very helpful dockhands. Facilities are clean, nice pool. Restaurant is great. Often busy but a space at the bar works.

Pleasant personnel, knowledgeable dock hands, clear swimming pool with restaurant/bar, top notch restaurant, heads are clean, air-conditioned, and quite nice. Floating docks are in new order and there is pleanty of room for my 43' sailboat. A great experience.

Our four day stay at Zahnisers was fabulous. Coming in and docking were easy (32ft, 5ft draft IPY). The grounds were beautifully kept, peaceful and in great care. The team, on top of all being dog friendly, were all very kind, lovely to chat with and very welcoming. The bath houses were fantastic, along with a free beautiful laundry facility. Their ice cream chest in their onsite store was a bonus, along with their free bikes to town, and twice daily shuttle. Wish we were closer to Solomons, would have no reservations calling that our home port. Big thanks to the staff for all the pets, and dog treats, and a great stay during hot weather to break up our trip and recharge. Looking forward to being back.

Zahnisers is a great facility, now run by Safe Harbor. The bathrooms, laundry and staff are all wonderful. Unfortunately, for the 4 days we were there, the hottest of the year, the pool was "broken". We love Solomon's Island and selected Zahnisers as a major part of our vacation specifically because of the pool. They did give us a small discount because of our "troubles", which was very much appreciated. There is a great restaurant on site and others are definitely walkable/bikeable. Also, the town has Uber to help those of us without vehicles!! We'll be back...hopefully when all amenities are working!!

Staff & Facilities are Top Notch. Putting transients who are paying a premium on the worst located face docks in the marina only to get constantly waked is not cool. This has happened at EVERY Safe Harbor from Florida North. NOT a good way to “promote the brand”. Not holding it against Zahnisers…. BUT … you can do better.

This is one of our favorite marinas on the Chesapeake Bay. Great services and facilities with some very good restaurants on site and nearby. We always plan a stop here.

We so enjoyed our three days stay here! Took the loaner bikes and explored the area. The staff were super nice and helpful. I will say the laundry (free) were the best machines I have seen on the whole east coast and the bathhouse is great! When you are there make sure you go to the CD Cafe. Yummy! We will be back!

Our stay At Zahnisers was perfect. We had a well situated slip. The Bath House was well appointed and clean. The dock hands (Dave and Mia) were very helpful . I very much like staying there as a transient.

Excellent marina, bathrooms and pool. Onsite Italian restaurant was great - must do reservations. Nice floating docks. Need a few more trash cans closer to docks. Will come back.

Easy in and out. Zahniser's made it super easy. Didn't even have to leave the boat.

Zahnisers is always a great stay. Great grounds, great staff, great location!

Thank you to Campbell and the SHZ staff for accommodating us with the weather changes, This is one of our favorite stops! Great facilities, close to excellent bars and restaurants, and beautiful location!

As always, Dock Master Dave was first class and professional in every way. Zahnisers Marina is one of the nicest in the Chesapeake Bay.

We stayed on one of the mooring balls. The mooring field was well protected and close to the dinghy dock. The marina is within an easy walk to the Calvert Museum and local restaurants. After our stay, we got hauled out to have routine work done on our sailing catamaran (22’ beam). The service work was done as scheduled and all the staff were professional and helpful.

Great marina with excellent dock hands a nice floating dock, restaurant on premises, pool, close to town.

Excellent marina. We arrived after hours but Dock Master had sent a note with a chart of our slip location and all the codes we needed. Excellent restaurants very walkable, including one superb one at the end of our dock. Showers clean and first class.

We have stayed at this marina on several occasions and it has always been excellent! The docks were updated a few years ago and are in very good shape. The staff are responsive and professional. There is a nice pool as well as an excellent restaurant on site. The walk to town is short and enjoyable

Marina staff were awesome and the facilities are beautiful. Complimentary laundry is a big plus!

We had a fantastic stay at Safe Harbor Zahniser's. The marina is clean, well-run, and the staff genuinely cares about boaters. A special shout-out to General Manager James, who went above and beyond by giving us a ride to Giant - a huge help for us considering we are liveaboard and our monthly provisioning is a hard mission - we never had this level of service and care. To top it off, dinner at Vela was exceptional. The carpaccio was hands-down the best I've ever had, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for such a high-quality dining experience. Between the outstanding service, great facilities, and excellent food, Zahniser's is a place we recommend and we will return to whenever we're in Solomons.

Nice marina with good floats. Easy in and out.

Nice spot to sit out a blow without having to worry about anchor holding.
