Great marina. We like family owned marinas. Dowry has attentive staff. There is pump out at your slip. Fuel is available at some of the slips. The Salty Crab is a fun restaurant at the marina. There is a courtesy car available and a salt water pool. The bathrooms are very nice and they supply towels. We have been here 5 times and never been disappointed.

We had an overnight stay at the marina. The dock master was nice and helpful. We had a beautiful view of the ICW from our face dock. Very friendly boaters at the marina.

Very easy in and out. We were on the face dock. Easy access to fuel and pump out. Had dinner at the Salt Crab restaurant on property and it was good. Would definately stay here again.

Dowry Creek is a wonderful little Marina off the Pungo River. The shower/bathroom facilities are clean and updated and the shop store is well appointed. The Salty Crab is a comfortable place to have a meal and a few drinks. Highly recommended if you are in the area on the AICW.

Great marina, easy to get on and off the ICW. Great fuel prices and I cannot say enough about the friendly staff. Bathrooms are great and the restaurant has great food at affordable prices. I will stop here again when I go south.

Easy in & out from the ICW. The staff is very friendly and informative. Docks are fixed piers and in great shape. The restaurant/bar on site is open everyday 11a-10p. They had live entertainment while we were there also. The pool wasn't available due to a failed pump. But they had already replaced it and were getting it ready to use. Bathrooms and showers are very nice with complimentary towels and toiletries in each one. A nice clubhouse with satellite TV and an outdoor grill are nice features also. Owner responded to my dockwa request immediately. We also used their free loaner car to get boat parts rather nearby marine supply store.

We spent an outstanding week at Dowry Creek. Mike met us at the dock to help us in and get settled. During the week he got us pumped out at our slip and filled our propane tank. We used the loaner car to make a grocery run and took advantage of the free laundry. There is a very nice Captain's lounge and nice clean bathrooms and showers. The restaurant is new and they excellent food and a great selection of beer and spirits. We recommend the fish and chips and the shrimp and chips!
6/25/2024 - Just finished a five day stay. What a great place and what great staff! Everything was wonderful including the onsite restaurant with an amazing draft beer selection. This is a must stay whenever we are passing.
7/29/24 - once again a great stay while avoiding some weather! This is one of our must stop marinas.

Wonderful marina! Mike communicated with us throughout our stay and met us at the dock to tie up. Enjoyed the beautiful creek views, pool and restaurant. Used the free laundry facilities and courtesy car to re-provision. Also, watched a storm move through on the balcony and inside the captain’s lounge. Great stay!!!

A very mixed bag. The pluses: very friendly and professional dock crew, nice ship’s store, pool is great, and (I am told) the restaurant is good. The negatives: the power at the pedestal is very low (211V vs expected 240V) which is not good for your air conditioning system. Also, the location is wide open to a southeast breeze which picks up as a sea breeze quite often. It gets really choppy in the marina really fast. Calms down if/when the wind calms down or changes direction.

Great special marina. Special because the people are super accommodating, willing to fuel late (when we are running late), willing to help with a courtesy car to town, a marina store with a good array o provisions and boat supplies, and a new restaurant with a nice variety of dishes for dinner. Rebuilt and expanded over the last few years, the docks are very new with great power supply for large motor yachts. Staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. Not a really big marina in size, but a huge marina in heart.
