Danfords is a very well operated and maintained marina. I have a 33ft express cruiser and I found the slips to be of ample size and there is plenty of maneuvering room in the fairway. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The hotel is beautiful but we noticed that boaters are treated as second class people, they cater to their other guests. The showers for the boaters can only be accessed by walking out to main street. Port Jefferson isn't really a boater friendly place. There's no place near by to buy groceries, liquor, or marine supplies/hardware. Nice for an over-nighter but not for an extended stay.
Danfords Hotel is now more convenient and comfortable than ever thanks to its 75-slip marina and 2,460 feet of side-to-tie on floating docks and 550 feet of side-to-tie on our fixed pier. Danfords Hotel & Marina accommodates boats and yachts up to 250’ in a secure setting. We provide guests with a picturesque, comfortable environment that includes such amenities as shower and bathroom facilities and on-premises fitness center. The marina offers such conveniences as gas and diesel refueling, as well as cable television, water, free high-speed wireless Internet, and electrical (30, 50 and 100 AMP single & three-phase service) hook ups and features fine, New American al fresco dining on our Admiral’s Deck – convenient slip-side service – as well as indoor seating in our new restaurant, WAVE Seafood Kitchen. Nestled in the heart of historic Port Jefferson Village with its fine shops and restaurants, Danfords Hotel & Marina is an excellent place to stay.
