Morningstar Marinas | Southport

Arrived late almost closed!!! Staff stay there for us... friendly. Clean and full services. That is one of my favorite spot heading N or S for a good stay and avoid to go around Cape Fear. easy access... restaurants walking distance.

This is a beautiful and well kept marina near town, restaurants and the historic district. They would have gotten 5 stars except for their old and outdated restrooms. The ladies room only has two bathroom stalls and one old shower. It’s consistently humid in the bathroom with a loud fan running. The old bathroom facilities seem very out of place in this beautiful marina.

Almost new marina, floating docks, great staff, and all the amenities. Walking distance to restaurants and shops downtown. Highly recommend.

Excellent facility with really friendly staff. We got a ride to Walmart and he waited while a carful of us shopped and then gave us a tour of the town. Some great places to eat along the waterfront too. Very cute town. Would stay here again and again.

Great place for an overnight!

Facilities were very well maintained and the staff were very helpful. We stayed 5 nights and they accomodated us as we needed to get repairs completed under the hull. Beautiful town to visit but too far to walk. Transportation could be a challenge.

Great marina with excellent staff. Edgar, Gabriel and Bob were very welcoming and helpful. Nice floating docks and new clean facilities. Short walk into a charming town with many dinning and shopping options.

What an amazing Marina. Great facilities, great people, close to town, well protected, etc. Couldn’t ask for more. They even had a dog park on-site! Would definitely stay there again.

Great dock hands. Assisted with lines, fuel and pumpout. New facilities. Clean showers, rest rooms and laundry. Assisted us with a ride to the grocery store. Nice, easy stay. Thanks guys!

We stayed 2 nights at Southport. The staff, particularly John the electrician went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The facilities were immaculately clean and in good working order - we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Southport!

What a find! I had never stayed at a Morningstar Marina before. Absolutely beautiful docks. Very helpful dock staff. Beautiful facilities. And I loved the dog park. This is the first marina we have been to in 25 years that had one. I would search out Morningstar again.

First class marina with well-maintained docks and facilities. Dog park is a great addition. Staff was very accommodating and helpful with docking. Their attitude was focused on guest service and comfort. Thanks Edgar and your team for a wonderful stay.

These people are wonderful. Stayed open in order for me to get fuel….no questions asked, no attitude..just good folks. Didn’t expect a tip, but tipped him just the same. These dock attendants work hard, MAKE SURE YOU SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION!!!
