Greeted upon arrive by Pete, very congenial and extremely helpful. Disappointed the courtesy car was out of commission, but the office staff offered to take us to the store and back, including a tour of town. It was great

Always a pleasure here. Nicest bath house I have ever seen at a marina. Great pool for a hot day with good view. New mostly floating docks are great with very capable dock hands.
On my last trip to this marina a stubborn engine stalling problem recurred that 2 other marinas had tried to fix but their fixes were short lived and did not address the root problem. I arrived on Saturday and the marina staff promised prompt attention Monday morning. Indeed before 9AM 2 technicians came and started diagnosing the problem in detail and discovered a clog in the input to the Racor filter that had been missed by the others attempting to solve thte problem.
Kudos to Safe Harbor Oxford for BOTH the prompt attention and thorough search for the root cause!
At the moment Wi-Fi at dock is not working great due to problems of merging system with nearby marina with now common ownership. However Wi-Fi in club house is better.
If good Wi-Fi is vital during your stay check for an update when you book. Town has great cell service from antennas on water tower near marina
-----
Stayed here again on 7/19/21. Everything still great except Wi-Fi which is better than before, but can be glacial at times when other people are active. Fortunately there is great cellular coverage from the nearby water tower.

Stayed again on 10/10/22
Pool was obviously closed but service was as good as always. Wi-Fi was good but not a good test as marina was basically empty at this time of year. As a review posted outside the heads says, this place has the greatest showers on the Chesapeake!

Despite being owned by the huge Safe Harbor marina/RV park conglomerate, this marina continues to be top notch with an outstanding staff.

Thank you, we're glad you enjoyed everything and we were able to get you prompt service Monday morning.by James S. on Aug 24, 2026
Great stay at Oxford. Amy Moran went out of her way to help us in any way to make our trip remembered. We had 2 elderly people traveling with us and offered us the car to use for dinner and the next day to go get ice cream.

Recommended restaurants which were good, loaned a car which we needed especially in the heat to go to dinner, and dock hands super helpful

Marina was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a small issue on my boat and service department promptly addressed.

We have been here many times over the years as this is a wonderful marina. Robert and his staff do a great job with fuel, helping you dock and anything you need. There are all floating docks, spacious clean and beautiful bathrooms and lounge, and a lovely well kept pool. Fuel dock is easy to get to. If I lived closer I would keep my boat baji-naji here. Since I don't, this is a favorite spot when cruising this part of the Bay. This visit, I was disappointed that the restaurants in walking distance were all closed. Robert let us know there was pop up pizza on Friday nights at the Oxford Market and we got a delicious pizza after ice cream at Scottish Highland Creamery of course.

One of our favorite overnight spots on the bay as it is close to our home port. Nice place to relax by the pool and enjoy the view. Unfortunately the restaurant choices have diminished in Oxford due to multiple establishments closing. Hopefully that will turn around. Robert has taken over as dockmaster and is doing an excellent job. We will be back.

Seems like a lack of communication between dock hands and dock master. Upon arrival had asked to be able to possibly stay a second night which dockhands said shouldn't be an issue. The next morning we find out that can't stay in that slip and would be required to move to a completely different one which was much further from the pool and on a fixed pier rather than the floating docks. Add to it that the only restaurant was over a mile away with no means to get there will mean future visits will be one of the other marinas.

Great service from the Dock and the Office Teams. One of the best locations. Makes staying at Safe Harbor a delight.

Wonderful marina, all the staff in the office and on the docks were friendly and very helpful. Fabulous clubhouse, beautiful pool, very clean, nice clean bathhouses as well. We took the complimentary bikes on the ferry and biked to St Michael’s, a quaint village with restaurants, bars and shops. Had a blast, highly recommend doing that. This was a fantastic stop along our journey, cannot say enough good things and can’t wait to visit again!!

Beautiful marina in a quaint town with lots of charm. Dock hands were on alert and very helpful. The facilities are very comfortable. Grab some bikes they have on-site, visit the ice cream shop down the street and enjoy in the park at sunset.

Restrooms and community center were very nice. Pool was good. Being charged for rusty bike use was not good. Nearest and only restaurant is several miles away (Docs was very good. Great if staying for 1 night. But very limited if staying multiple nights). Dock hands were mostly distant and not very helpful.
Marina Response:
Thank you for your review. Several restaurants did close at the end of last season and have yet to complete their renovations following changes of ownership. We hope these will be operational later this year, but in the interim, Docs Sunset Grill is good and very popular.
Why do we charge for our bicycles? Over the years we've tried charging and not-charging, but it seems when something is given away for free it has no value and therefore no responsibility for the item to be returned to our property. I can assure you that the very modest fee neither contributes significantly to our bottom line, nor remotely offsets the annual cost of maintenance, but they are getting rather old and they will soon be replaced with new machines.by Scott S. - Verified user on Jul 10, 2026
All good, dock crew was great.

This was the favorite stop on our "baycation". Friendly and helpful dockhands, beautiful waterfront pool, very nice bath house/showers, bikes for exploring town, premium floating docks. We will be coming back!

Very nice floating docks marina, new large bathrooms & great Captains lounge. Nice pool. Oxford is quiet and charming. Not much in town - except for Scottish Highland Creamery which has excellent ice cream! There is a full service boatyard next door. If you want a small, peace and quiet stop this is for you.

THis marina has great services, but the town of Oxford no longer provides any good nearby restaurants. Therefore, we will not be returning to this area again. It just does not have anything to attract a cruiser.l

Really enjoyed the marina. The office manager (or finance manager) met me to help dock. Such great people. Nice facilities and great location. Only downside was the Robert Morris Inn was closed.

Quiet, sleepy town with a few shops downtown, ice cream store, ferry to Bellevue, early 1900’s homes with small yards and maintained landscaping. One great restaurant Doc’s Bar & Grill about 1.2 miles from Marina. Complimentary bicycles & courtesy vehicle for Safe Harbor members. Nice and clean with keypad locked Clubhouse for boaters. Laundry room with AC beside 3 huge private restrooms. Pool was nice but deck needs replaced. Staff were kind, helpful, professional and readily available considering the size of the Marina. Depth was 20’ and T-docks can accommodate > 100’ boats. Failure to Launch movie from 2006 filmed at Oxford Boatyard! Would recommend as a restful pace with not a lot of activity.
Marina Response:
Hello Steve, Thanks for the nice review. Glad you enjoyed our facilities and will say the pool is a never ending project of love that hopefully at some point we can get fully redecked. We are in the process of completing our yard renovations which hopefully will be done by spring of 2026.

Stayed two nights; first time at this marina. Office staff and dock hands were very helpful, appreciated the help getting in with the wind pushing us. Beautiful clubhouse, looks new, large sitting areas in & out, laundry and bath house right by it, restrooms also close to pool. Pool was awesome, very clean, lots of seating and umbrellas and met other friendly boaters there as well. There's a huge picnic area under a tent with grills and seating. Bikes available, we took them on the ferry to Bellevue (ferry only a half mile from marina) and rode 8 miles (took an hour) to St Michael's, quaint little town with lots of shops, dining, bars and museums. Doc's Sunset Grill was 1.5 miles from marina, a jumping place with plenty of seating in and out, entertainment, great water views too. Oxford is a pretty town, very walkable. Fuel dock there as well.
Great marina, highly recommend!
