Safe Harbor South Harbour Village

We opted to stay for 3 nights to wait out a gale warning. The dock staff was amazing. Helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Ken, Bob and Mike were super nice and were always there to lend a hand. Near-by food choices were really good!!! We ate at Joseph’s and also at the Rusty Hook .

Came in solo and the dockhands handled the lines effortlessly. Nice to deal with people who know what they’re doing !

Excellent marina. Easy in and out, stayed right on the fuel dock. Staff were very friendly and helpful filling up with diesel and moving the boat to better access shore power. Highly recommend for an easy, overnight transient stay. Thank you Safe Harbor South Harbour Village!

The dock Masters were wonderful. We had a very nice night. It was quick just one night.

As always the staff was very helpful and courteous. The Dock Master Addison has things running smoothly. Will be looking forward to my next visit.

Very easy to reserve slip through Dockwa. Upon arrival the crew handled lines and gave advice on currents. We were inside of face dock and very comfortable. Dock team was helpful and informative.

What a great Marina. We are 60’ with a 5’draft. Very knowledgeable harbor master and Dock hands. Easy in and out. Fuel and pump out easily available. Joseph’s is an excellent Italian restaurant. A little bit of a hike too historic Southport, but there are car services that make it convenient. We did not try Uber since it was not recommended. I’d easily come here again.

Many thanks to Andy, Addison, John, Brad and Ken for their exceptional customer service. A marina with beautiful facilities, a great stop for any Cruiser on the East Coast. 8/19/25 - 8/22/25 - A great stay while sitting out Hurricane Erin. Great dock crew and excellent facilities including the on-site restaurant. 5 days on the face dock at this wonderful Marina! The dock crew is fantastic and the facilities are very nice. There are two very good restaurants on site. We plan to stay again. 9/30/24 - Another 5 day stay and another great experience! Once again the dock crew was awesome and the restrooms and showers have been remodeled. The on-site restaurant was excellent.

Another great Safe Harbor Marina. While they don't provide no cost member slips, they are a good place to stop heading either North or South. Diesel fuel prices were much better then our prior stop by $1 per gallon. Two good resturants within an easy walk. Dock team can be busy at times so had to call.several times before they were able get us in. The face docks can be rocky as the local fishermen don't slow much as they run by. The percepton of a no wake zone.

Very Nice Marina and great docks. Marina staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. 2 restaurants on site that have good food. Only reason I dont give it a higher rating is due to the inconsiderate boaters that ignore NO WAKE signs and rock your boat all day. Night time is OK but you begin to get the rocking before sunrise from early fisherman. Highly recommend you request to dock on the inside...probably wont reduce the waves a lot but at least they will be pushing your boat away from the dock

We had a mixed experience at Southport Safe Harbor Marina. On the positive side, the dockhands were great, and the location is convenient right along the ICW. The on-site restaurant was handy, with live entertainment, and the marshland views were absolutely gorgeous. Fuel was expensive if you're not a member, which was a bit of a downside. The biggest disappointment, though, was the bathroom and shower facilities. They were poor condition-the bathhouse building clearly needs mold remediation and some general updating. The pungent smell of mold hits hard the moment you walk in, and for health reasons we couldn't get out of there fast enough. For a Safe Harbor property, we expected the bathrooms to be better maintained. Overall, the staff, views and location were solid; but the bathhouse issues really stood out and impacted the stay.

A quick stop and go but the marina was great. I arrived single handed in windy chop and was greeted by three dock hands making my landing very smooth. Much appreciated!

Nice marina tucked into a quiet spot off the ICW. Staff was very friendly and docks were in good condition. They helped us adjust our stay when our schedule changed. Can’t say enough good about the team there.
