Very disappointed. The best feature of this marina is the swimming pool, where in the past, we gathered to meet new and old friends. We didn't do that this year because THE POOL IS CLOSED FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON. We had no notice of this before making a reservation. And it was over 90 degrees during our 4th of July trip.
In addition, the dinghy dock is made of a plastic which is dangerously hot in summer temperatures.

I'm sorry to hear your stay was disappointing.
Not opening the pool this year was a difficult decision, but we had significant safety concerns. Unfortunately, bringing the pool back into service will require a complete rebuild to meet ADA compliance, and we're not even sure if we'll be permitted to rebuild it in its current location. Because of that, we've removed all references to the pool from our website and online listings while we determine the best path forward.
It certainly was an exceptionally hot weekend, and I understand how disappointing it must have been not to have the pool available.
As for the plastic dinghy docks, we haven't had any issues reported so far, but we do appreciate your feedback and will make note of it. We switched to the plastic docks because they have generally been much gentler on dinghies than the old wooden docks, which occasionally caused damage. Coecles Harbor Marina is awesome. The people who work there are the best. Thoughtful, helpful and treat you like family. Before our visit, Rebecca called us to let us know that she found a perfect slip for us and our dog! A quaint little spot that I hope never changes. This was last year, 2025. 2026 was not quite the same. Yes, the staff are the nicest and most helpful as ever but the facility is in need of improvements. The pool is out of order for the season, the bathrooms are due for an upgrade, and the ice machine can't manage to hot summer temperatures. Thankfully we were with a group of boats and made the best of it. Hope to see you again next year when everything is back to order.

We love this marina, and return whenever we can. The people are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are nice and clean. We especially appreciate the rides into town and help from their service department when we’ve needed them. We’ll be back!

Always an enjoyable stay here. The mooring field is very convenient to the marina, which has a small store (Eileen is most pleasant and helpful) and an adequate shower room with good pressure, hot water. If I plan to go ashore I always stay here. The anchorage in the southeast of the harbor is beautiful, well protected and with good holding ground. However, it’s a long dinghy ride to the town dock. Shelter Island is a wonderful place to bike around. It’s also an easy, inexpensive ferry ride away from Greenport. The ferry runs frequently throughout the day until midnight. Coecles Harbor Marina is at the top of my list for overnight mini-cruises from my homeport, Safe Harbor Pilots Point Marina, Westbrook CT.

Beautiful quiet location . Helpful, attentive staff. Shout out to Rebecca! Docks and facilities in good shape. No problem with 4 1/2 foot draft at low tide.

We had a wonderful stay at Coecles Marina and Boatyard. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. The Marina offered amenities like a pool, laundry, showers, grills, bike rentals, a covered picnic anrea and a shuttle into town for provisioning. On top of it all, we made new friends with a great group from Riverhead. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing spot, so peaceful and beautiful. Great place to stay with small store, pool , nice facilities. Walked to an awesome local Farm Stand. Swimming and tooling around in the dinghy were so much fun. The picture perfect weather made the stay one of the best of the summer!

Rebecca and the rest of the staff at Coecles Harbor were nothing short of fantastic. Very helpful and attentive to everyone's needs ans questions. The facilities are immaculate and plentiful. We had 13 boats there for the weekend for our Rendezvous and we could not have asked for a better location to have it. Thank you from all of us and we will definitely see you all soon.

Often referred to as the “Jewel of the Peconic,” Coecles Harbor, highlighted by Mashomack Preserve, features interlacing tidal creeks teeming with marine life and bordered by mature oak woodlands, fields and marshes. Whether choosing a day bike rental, a day trip to Sag Harbor or Greenport, a wine tour, or a dinner at one of the island’s great restaurants, we are happy to assist. We’ll arrange transportation to ferries, restaurants beaches and shopping.
