Great staff and location

I had several engine, painting fiberglass jobs done on my 43' catamaran. Everyone I worked with was good with both communication and technical work. Brad was an instructive, hard worker on the engine with a great attitude. Chris and Dave managed projects effectively and ahead of schedule. I overwintered in the water with a bubbler. The facilities and docks were solid, clean and well maintained. Kenny runs a tight ship on the docks and was a huge help to my transition in and out and being sure the boat was in good hands.

We love the dock staff but the office staff is anything but top notch. We asked for an estimate for damage done to our boat at their marina on several occasions over a months time, our insurance company would like it so that they can send out an estimator, but nobody ever got back to us. They would have made money pulling out our boat and doing the work, we will bring our boat home and have our yard profit. On another occasion nobody could find out car keys, they turned up after a 20" search. The "guys" all seem to stand around and chat. On 2 occasions I came in with a question and 2 men were chatting amicably they looked up and then continued their chatting, I had to ask my question. I found this rude and unprofessional. Two thumbs down to Cove Haven. When we leave in 2 days time we will not return.

We had a very nice stay to visit friends but the kicker was how helpful Dave and Nathan were in repairing our generator from its “won’t start” condition. It was a tricky diagnostic problem involving a short circuit but they persisted and had it repaired the same day. Nice going guys.

Very good marina. Great, well protected location, tremendous value, large staff was very helpful. Nice pool on site and they have pretty new gas grills with utensils and filled propane tanks. Docks are all in tremendous shape. Somewhat dated, but clean bathrooms and showers. All in all, a great week's stay working remotely with good wifi.

Usable internet- a rarity in my experience. Particularly enjoyed that all my devices auto-connected since not my first time at safe harbor. Michael, dock guy, was easy going and courteous- nice clean maintained facility.

Great place and service. During a very busy time of year, they squeezed us in, last second, for some engine maintenance. Very helpful. Kenny and Team are great

We docked here on our way to Maine in order to be able to pick up crew who had flown into Providence. The marina is very conveniently located for this. I have only positive words for our arrival and our stay here. Kenny, the dockmaster, certainly knows how to run a "tight ship" and at the same time be a welcoming and gracious host.

Love the air conditioned bathroom facilities and the pool was great for hot days. Can't wait to see the new pool when completed. Ken helped us out when we needed to extend our stay. We're very grateful to have discovered Safe Harbor Cove Haven!!

We did not go due to the weather. I called the marina directly to cancel

Cove Haven Marina in Bullocks Cove is a nice sheltered location. Being year round members for over 25 years, meant having great dockage during the boating season and resting assured that our boat would be kept safely on the hard during the winter months. I consider the crew at Cove Haven Marina as family. As summer liveaboards we got to know the crew well and they were always there to lend a helping hand when needed. We belonged to the marina for so long that I remember when Pat Peck did engine work on our first boat, and he’s now yard manager. Through the years the yard has done work on our boats, from small to major, and we’ve always found the results to be top notch. We’ve enjoyed transient stays at other marinas but will always consider Cove Haven as our home base.

Cove Haven Marina charged me $3,500 for repairs which they verbally estimated would cost "$500 - $800". They never contacted me to inform me of the cost over-runs and refused to reduce the charge by a single penny when I complained. Be very careful to get repair quotes in writing.

Nice docks and nice people if you don’t need WIFI. It is very frustrating that all Safe Harbor marinas advertise WIFI but it rarely works. Harbor master did his best to help but the internet provider could not provide WIFI service.. There are not many businesses within walking distance but there are nice bike trails.

We arrived just as they were closing. We called and they gave us our slip info, but didn't designate whether it was B North or South side ended up in the wrong slip. It would have been helpful if someone had come out or met us but other than that it's a great facility. Kenny (the dockmaster) responded to my after hours message promptly and was very knowledgeable. Be careful coming in as there is very shallow water between the rock marker and the channel! Overall an excellent stay!

Dock master Ken was absolutely a master - knowledgeable and high-energy. Afternoon kids were OK.

I have stored my boat at Safe Harbor Cove Haven off season for about ten years. Recently the JAZZ FISH needed some seasonal work done and I came in the night before so I would not be time pressed the next morning. Before arriving I received instructions from Ken that I should bring the boat directly to the work pit so work could begin the next morning without delay. When I arrived help was waiting for me at the dock. The next morning the work was done and I was off. Here's the great thing about this yard. Nothing seems to bother them. No matter what I have needed in previous years, or needed this time, I was always greeted with a "can do" response and then quietly and competently it got done. This is a first class yard with great people who sincerely want to help us enjoy our sport. I recommend them with enthusiasm.

Some (many) of the finest staff in the industry. Very nice facilities, over the water. Culture changes and significant price increases with new Safe Harbors ownership. Extremely accomodative to transient boaters and those arriving to winter.

We are a cruising couple who spends a good deal of time in marinas. If we could give 6 stars to the staff we would! Dockmaster Kenny not only keeps his domain Bristol Fashion but is the go-to guy for any local info—best grocery store, seafood joint or nearby anchorages. Alison in the office is every bit a joy to know as she was on the phone when we first called last winter to inquire about spring reservations. She, too, went out of her way to assist us. All this and well located to PVD and nearby Newport. Thanks for a top notch marina experience! Julie and Richard, M/V Bel Sito
