I was so grateful to have a place to hook up and charge my devices on my cruise because my 2 chargers had failed me. I believe the marina changed hands recently and they have some tweaking to do to become top notch: the shower facilities (which they were working on); the shore power hookup was not stable nor were some of the cleats for docking. These last two things were worrisome. Hailey was wonderfully pleasant and helpful and I was so grateful to have a place to shelter overnight. It all worked out and I will look forward to seeing all the improvements as time goes on. It is a great spot because you can walk into town or take advantage of the free trolley.

I’m middle of the road here because if I hadn’t heard there were new owners making improvements it would be a 1 star. Fuel docks broken, but if ya back down a row of boats you can buy gas. Tell them we have a Dockwa reservation… can’t find it at first. Then they have to move peoples boats to fit us in. Not sure who they moved and there situation there but woke up and boats were hanging in a -.70ft tide. I don’t think they really cater to the transient boating community here. I did see a major restaurant project, new bathrooms (men only) and a rumor floating docks will be going in. I’m hopeful this place in a while will be better than a 3. Everyone was friendly I hope they set aside some room for restaurant and transient traffic.

It was fine considering they’re running trips out of it but the bathrooms and showers needed some work mechanically and aesthetically. Cute little town though!

Marina docks are in bad condition as of Feb 8. We were placed in a slip with only one pole to tie on the front of the boat so we could only tie off on the starboard side. Docks fixed (not floating) and they are very old in much need of repair. There's no staff to help docking. Bathrooms and shower facilities are also in much need of repair. The town is lovely and the location of the marina is awesome but for $180/night on a 34' boat - not worth it.

Good communication and assistance at the dock upon arrival. Great access to Bradenton Beach and Bridge Street restaurants.

Nice people very helpful. Wooden docks were fine. 50Amp electric did not work. Great location. Directions into marina were very helpful. Restrooms were ok.

Very friendly staff. Accommodations were good. Clean showers/bathroom. Laundry worked well. We were very safe during the recent storm. Very close to town and trolley.

Not fancy but good operator agreed to cancel when I couldn't make it on the day.

Would give zero stars if available. We keep our 21 foot Grady White in dry storage over the summer each year and have annual engine work done here, over $1000. On picking up the boat this year, the engine power tilt trim, working fine upon storage, was dead as we found out on the way home. The mechanic, John, refused to acknowledge and told us to get a tow back to the marina, although we were just a 15 minute car ride away. The boat had been improperly stored and ruined the power tilt trim and this cost $1200 to repair. He was nasty and arrogant. After years of storing the boat and tens of thousands of dollars, one might have expected a bit more.
Marina Response:
Sir, that’s not exactly what happened. You are a good customer and you have stored your boat with us for the summer months for several years. You typically drop the boat off in late spring and pick it up in early fall. We store the boat inside our dry storage building over the summers while you travel to your home up north. In 2020, you stored your boat with us for several months and picked it up just before Labor Day. You took it home. A few days later you called us on Labor Day weekend to say you had a problem with the engine. Now, we have not worked on your engine. All we did was store your boat on a rack over the summer while you were out of town. When you called us on Labor Day weekend and said do had a problem, we asked you to bring the boat in and we would take a look at it to try to help you. You said you could not. We asked you if you could have it towed over to us so we could look at it and try to help you. You said you could not. We told you we could not send a person to your house on Labor Day weekend to try to solve your problem. You contacted another repair facility and they came out to fix your boat. I’m glad they were able to take care of the problem. However, we did not cause the problem. All we did was store your boat for several months as we have done every summer, year after year. I’m sorry we were not able to drop everything on a holiday weekend and come to your house to fix your boat, I know this upset you and we discussed it on the telephone afterward. Again, I apologize we were not able to service your need on a holiday weekend at your house.

We initially had a negative experience with repair, but are now working with the owner and I am optimistic that we can come to a positive outcome. I will update when the boat is back in the water.
Marina Response:
I'm glad we worked it out and we were able help you complete the repairs to your vessel, and we were able to assist you in dealing with your insurance company. Thank you for your business.

Honestly, this is a terrible facility - one of the worst marinas I've had the misfortune in which to stop. Aside from the super sketchy Z shaped approach through extremely shallow water to the Marina's fairways, you simply cannot get their staff to come assist with docking or casting off. This is a real problem given the half length fixed docks which make it a real challenge for crew members to get off and secure lines. Aside from these issues, the bathrooms are quite small and dirty and there are no amenities nearby. Finally, the night we were there their VHF radio was broken so you had to call them and they allowed a large powerboat to tie up overnight on their fuel dock making it almost impossible to get out. Stop further north or further south, but in my opinion this would be a "use only in case of emergency" facility.
Marina Response:
I'm sorry you were not happy with our marina. We are a small marina in the very high demand area of Anna Maria Island. We do make every effort to assist transient customers with docking, if this did not occur in your case, I offer you my apologies. Thank you for your feedback.

We stopped here in route for fuel on the way back from Key West to Palm Harbor. They basically acted like they would rather not bother with us. Fuel pumps were under a tarp, so not obvious where they were. Staff on radio were very unhelpful. No one came out to help us until I basically pleaded with them on the radio. Strong wind and current flowing away from dock made docking a pain - again, if only the staff coulkd have bothered leaving the AC to come lend a hand. We would only stop here in the future if it were an emergency.
Marina Response:
Thank you for your feedback. Our fuel dock is open from 8 AM to 5 PM, 7 days per week. We provide fuel to dozens of boats everyday. I'm sorry we did not have a person on hand at the dock when you arrived; we ask customers to call the office on their approach if they feel they may need a hand docking.
