Great place better people

Owners/operators very friendly and helpful. Proximity to West Marine, Stop & Shop extremely helpful. Easy Uber to anywhere on island. Very protected dock spaces.

Wi-FI is now very good. Great staff. They have fixed docks but they have fender boards for along-side docking. Great location relative to the bus line. Good restaurants nearby. Small beach there too.

After a really rough ride in Brook was amazing getting us tied up. He and all the staff are so amazingly welcoming and friendly and had some great company on the docks. You honestly couldn’t ask for a better location for everything you might need or want to do! Restaurants, bike rentals, beaches, swimming, all literally steps away and super easy transportation on island, public and private to get to Oak Bluffs or Edgartown. I actually am hesitant to post this review as I want to make sure we can get in here again next season! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Always great hospitality and service.

We absolutely love staying at the Black Dog Wharf. We always tended too when docking and great information given to help us out. While staying for 2 nights, we decided to stay a 3rd and it was no issue at all. Even upon leaving we asked to stay an extra hour to help with timing the currents and they were so accommodating. Will be back over and over.

As always, a great place to dock with a family friendly atmosphere.

Great place great people and great location… but the harbor is wide open and it can/does get rollie

I will start by saying the Black Dog staff was excellent and super friendly! We stayed on the mooring. It was all tangled when we arrived and they came right out to untangle it. We didn't realize there was only one mooring and it is right next to the ferry so it is loud. We also didn't know the launch, which is a stones throw from the mooring, wasn't complimentary. We ended up paying $20 round trip for a 30 second ride. With the price of the mooring, we had assumed the short ride was included, otherwise we would have just dropped the dinghy. The launch driver smashed into the side of our boat when coming to pick us up and was quite unpleasant. It was made clear he wasn't happy to be working yesterday. It made us pretty uncomfortable. Once we got on the dock, as mentioned the black dog staff was great. The bathrooms and shower were clean and the muffins were delicious. It seems most of the reviews are for docking, which I'm sure is fabulous. I just wouldn't recommend the mooring. Or if you do stay on the mooring, use your dinghy for the short ride to shore.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed here this summer. Great helpful staff and the location is perfect.

We love the BD marina. Morgan and Brooke are always very helpful and the showers and laundry are so convenient and CV clean.

We stay on their dock each and every year and they always go above and beyond. Thank you Douglas family!

The BD Wharf never disappoints! Morgan and his crew were amazing as always... It’s our favorite annual vacation spot!! Can’t wait to go again next year!

Great stay and excellent dock staff

Great quiet marina. The staff was very helpful getting my boat situated. They explained the lay of the land immediately after tying up. Shower building was cleaned daily. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Black Dog Wharf.

Stayed for a week. The best!

Outstanding experience. Excellent, friendly, professional staff provide any assistance necessary. Always available and ensure dock policies are followed. The facilities are very good - bathrooms are kept meticulously clean, washer / dryers available, Proximity to shopping and dining is excellent. Bus terminal is located nearby, so transportation to anywhere on the island is a short walk away. Will definitely stay again
