I have kept my boat and lived aboard at this Marina for four months now. I have been talking with shad (Owner / Operator) since last July. Shad is a great guy and takes a deep interest in your comfort and happiness at his Marina. He has lived in the neighborhood and the Marina has been part of his life for all of his life. He's a wealth of information and a generally good guy. It appears that the mariner was going through a resolved dispute and fell into neglect. Over the past two months there has been a dramatic change in its condition and each day new improvements are obvious. This is a beautiful, safe Cove covered in trees. This is not a glamorous Marina but if you're looking for safety and tranquility managed by an amenable owner, I highly recommend you visit. David

I would definitely NOT put my boat here again, Shad the owner has Bi-Polar disorder or something, he makes a deal then gets mad at his own deals and takes it out on his customers, I put a bad review on Google also and was harassed by shad, including being threatened with FWC and Child welfare. This guy wouldn't be qualified to work for McDonald's, and with his Napoleon complex, I'm surprised nobody has tuned him up. YET!

I stayed here for a month and 5 days. The owner, Shad, was always nice to me but his wife (they fought publicly all the time) was constantly telling 1me they could get more revenue from transient boats than I was being charged. Constantly tried to move my boat around when I was paying monthly rates. When a spot opened up at another marina, I moved and they refused to reimburse me for 26 days of a month that I already paid for. STAY AWAY Charlatan operation. When I asked for a refund they started attacking me personally with insults. Will end up in court over this one.

My husband and I stayed here for a month. The facilities were okay but dirty and the water was terrible, not drinkable, but is what it is. We had a friend come over and put down vinyl flooring in our boat and the owner flipped out and said we had a contractor come into the marina without registering and do work on the boat and told us that we had to leave while we were attempting to make our payment for the next month. Also our boat and most of the other boats sat in mud constantly and at low tide there was literally no water under our boat. We were not informed that this would be the case even though we told the owner our draft. There are picnic tables and a fire pit so we did hang out there a lot so that was nice. Overall I would not recommend anyone to stay at this marina unless they had no other choice. And make sure you never have anyone do any work on your boat no matter how simple the task is without informing the owner and having the person register even if they aren't a contractor. He does charge a percentage of the labor and materials for any work done.
