Marker 8 Marina

What a glorious way to be introduced to the oldest city in America. Our boat slip had a commanding view of the harbor and fort and bridge. And the owner has the best chocolate company right next door. A real tragedy... lol. Very clean and well kept property. And the price was respectable. Next time could we please have it a little warmer...

Nice clean facilities, showers and laundry. Close to town. Staff was great. Would come back.

For all larger boat owners (ours is 48ft catamaran), the owner of this marina does not want you to use your docklines with any tension to bring your bow or stern in. You will not be able to use common docking practices and it may not even be possible to dock under winds in the teens and the persistant strong current. She (the owner) was very turse to the extent that she even without communicating took a line out of the hands of a dockhand and threw it back in the water as she rambled on about how she just had her dock fixed and she needs the boat to approach the dock without tying off the front or stern first in order to bring either opposite end into the dock. We've never been greeted at dock as we were on this one and we chose to leave and find an alternative. We went close by and were greeted as expected where the dock hands understand how to tie up without any trouble dispite the same wind and current conditions. I'm sure she is a good person trying to make a living but it was a waiste of our time and had she communicated all of the unusual requirements for docking ahead of time we would have chosen a different Marina. Her attitude is to be more concerned about her dock than your $1M boat even under the most common of docking practices. It was a very strange experience for us. Strange enough for me to feel the need to write this review when I have never written a review before.

How can this marina makes money? The monthly rate is fairly low and it comes with free ice, pool and free snack every afternoon! Very worth the price. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bathrooms are clean. The view of the Bridge of Lions is awesome. There are a lot of tourist trap type restaurants nearby, so it takes a hike to provision. The only negative, they don't clean the trash that washes up to the shoreline of their property.

Great location to stop in for an overnight or weekend stay with a pretty view of historic beautiful St. Augustine. Super friendly Gina was great at checking us in, room & bathroom were nice & clean, enjoyed Happy Hour hors d'oeuvres with others at the pool, & loved the convenience of the hotel location. Will defintely return!

Awesome marina. Great location. Friendly staff. Free ice and food for happy hour are a nice bonus.

Stayed for 4th of July fireworks, right under them, perfect. Staying at Marina gives access to pool, lounge, toilets, etc. Gina, the main attendant was awesome, very helpful always.

DISAPPOINTED!!! We travel a LOT and are very well versed in bad, good, great, and awesome service, this stay was at the bottom of those. The dock was very beat up and had HUGE bolts exposed that could easily have damaged our boat and I had to use my extra bumpers to protect it. The showers and bathrooms never seemed like they got cleaned. The most disappointing was the staff, aside from Ms. Jessica she was awesome, but there was a small misunderstanding between one of the members of the staff and myself about some amenities that were included. Well, we got charged for the mistake and when discussing this with the manager and the staff member, they were adamant that even though they were wrong and they knew it, I still had to pay for their mistake. Being there’s a hotel there as well, they made us sailors feel like 2nd class citizens the entire stay. Lastly, the current RIPS through the docs, be very careful of this. We will not be staying here again and unfortunately do not recommend it.

Great location , easy to get in and out.

Nice marina with everything you need, and the tide is really not that bad. Super convenient (walking distance) to downtown St A. We had a nice stay.

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff is super nice and friendly. Nice floating docks with good power. (Some are in need of repair from the last storm, but they are working on fixing them). The wifi can be sketchy on the docks, but you can get good WiFi in the hotel lobby or bar.The view is outstanding. The social hour is a nice plus. The snacks are good and you get to meet not only fellow boaters, but hotel guests as well.
