The marina is scattered across a pretty large area and there is an old office building and restrooms that I mistakenly thought were still operable. The woman who answered the phone was as confused as I was about where I was berthed. We finally got on the same page and I was directed to the newer facilities. The restroom, showers and laundry are very nice. There is a very well stocked ship's store. Floating docks are fine. A good restaurant is 5 minutes away. The scenery on this part of the Hudson is quite nice.

Friendly, knowledgeable and reliable full service marina. This has been my home port for 5+ years and they only get better.
Marina Response:
Thank you very much for the 5 star review. We're very glad you keep coming back. That says a lot. We try our best to accommodate all of our customers. Looking forward to seeing you again next year.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice showers/restrooms. 7 feet draft was on the limit.

Westerly Marina gets very rocky from the passing boats despite the low cut break wall. Most docks are worn out and hand made. Many docks do not have water service. During our stay last August, the pump out did not work. As someone told us, if you are looking for a resort marina, this is not it. It is a working marina. Parts store was very large, but prices were very steep.

About Westerly Marina

Westerly Marina was founded on the Ossining Waterfront in 1959 by Arthur DeMarchis after an extensive search to relocate the Tobin Craft boatbuilding business from New Jersey. The 24 foot wooden motorboats were at the new yard in a converted seaplane hangar until 1962, when wooden boat construction gave way to fiberglass at larger facilities. At the time Westerly began expanding its marine construction, docking, storage and repair capabilities. DeMarchis focused his work on boats to mechanical project, become a dealer for Mercury out boards and specializing in the re-powering of boats. Over the years DeMarchis gradually acquired the adjoining lots on either side of the boat shop, including a large building directly to the south of the yard, previously owned and used by the Rand McNally map company. Westerly Marina now includes over five acres of waterfront and three buildings, with a marine supply store, offices, and a machine shop occupying the original boat building shop. Additional space in other building is leased to a marine canvas business and the workshop of marine carpenter, Chris Brennan, who maintains the Riverkeeper wooden boat that is docked at Westerly. The waterfront is protected by a seawall. Three generations of the DeMarchis family work at Westerly Marina. During Hurricane Sandy, Westerly experienced four feet of water over their deck, but in keeping with long tradition of innovation and resilience, the DeMarchis family carries on.
