Phenomenal staff… incredibly helpful

This is a difficult review because of needing to rate the resort as well as marina. First, the marina-very helpful staff, good location, nice tiled showers lacking a place to put soap, etc with no easy changing area, and a long hike to your slip of which only a 2/3 is lite at night. The resort has bus service for Charleston, but two out of three days the hot tub was not hot and the heated pool was cool. Getting packages from Amazon also took an extra day because of the way deliveries are handled.

Our home port since 2019 and still our top choice. Best amenities including restaurants, adequate showers, rest rooms, shuttle services, dock hand support, fuel dock, pet areas, and situated in the most beautiful natural setting. Absolutely come and go on slack tides and call ahead for docking assistance. Be patient as they are in high demand at these times. You must plan ahead while in Charleston. Yes it is expensive, exposed to a few really bad storms annually and not perfect all the time. Dock carts are often in short supply and the pump out boats are often broken. At times they seem under staffed, maintenance of the docks, rest rooms and laundry facilities are a constant challenge. This is not Disneyland folks. The management staff and personnel are above average and pleasant to work with. Golf cart service from the parking lot to the docks would be a nice addition. Upgraded showers, rest rooms and a laundry room like the St Johns Yacht marina would also be nice.

The Dockmaster was very helpful! We stayed through a bad storm, and felt very safe- loved the amenities, especially the restaurant and free shuttle to downtown!

Been my home port for years. Great service and amenities

Docks and staff are outstanding. Tidal currents can be a challenge so entering at slack tide is highly recommended. Traffic can produce some rocking but not too bad if you aren't on the wall. Restrooms are nice and showers are OK with plenty of hot water. Not alot of room to dress and no seating in the shower. A free shuttle runs 2PM to 10 to downtown.

I don’t understand why the pier’s have no marking of a, b, c or d. For the size of the marina I found this to make mooring a pain in the ass.

All of the toilets in the men's bathroom were clogged on Saturday when we arrived. I advised the Marina of the situation. When we left on Monday, the toilets were either clogged again or never fixed. I had to constantly walk up to the resort to use the men's bathroom. Also the showers were very cramped. There was no room to put your dry belongings except to hang everything on hooks.

Great dock hands, professional staff, called prior to arrival for special alerts and instructions, great food

The Marina was fantastic. The facilities were always clean. Most important the staff was welcoming, respectful and friendly. They were always willing to help with anything in their scope of capability or provide a resource if it was outside of their scope of capability.

Ben was a great help in finding us a spot for the 72’ boat and we enjoyed a great dinner and now a lay day due to weather , enjoying the hot tub and pool. This has always been my 1st choice in Charleston!! Thanks so much!! Capt. Glenn Bregman M/Y Mas’ Pura Vida 72 Azimut

Marina was very nice, unfortunately our card key for showers only controlled 2 of the 4 showers, and one of the showers had no light. So for a marina with hundreds of boat only 1 shower was accessible for us to use. Food at Fish house was marginal, halibut dry and hard. The facilities are very nice, jacuzzi was large and hot. After 425nm just wanted a nice shower, I let the Admiral use the accessible one and I showered on the boat, running short on time for dinner reservations.

Fabulous! Shuttle to downtown every hour. Great resort facilities offered to transients! Competent and friendly dock help! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice marina. Great people. Austin was very helpful advising us on the current and docking when we arrived.

Very helpful staff, free shuttle to downtown Charleston. Nice docks. Be aware that the current comes through the marina very fast, so time your arrival for slack tide. My only gripes: 1) It’s a long walk to the showers from north end of the marina. Another one out the dock would be great. 2) the laundry machines use an app that doesn’t work well and wants lots of access to your phone. My suggestion would be to replace the system with contactless payment, which would be secure and easy. Overall, though, very good place.

Great option in Charleston Harbor. Dock hands are very helpful. Remember to arrive during slack tide as this is when the marina allows you to enter and tie up.

Great stay. Dock hand Harper was accommodating and made the stay easy. Onsite restaurant was convent and food was good.

This facility is in a sad state of repair. Understaffed. Electric power and pedestals in poor condition. Breakers blew 3 times. Had to use 150 foot extension cords to reach a working pedestal. Helpful young dockhands. Needs management attention and some capital investment

We arrived later than expected. Dockhand was hard to reach on phone and VHF. We had called earlier to inform Charleston Harbor Marina we would be getting in about 7:00 PM, they said someone would be there all night. Someone was, but not answering phone or VHF for quite sometime. Did not realize the walk to the end of the docks would be more than five minutes to parking lot. Long walk, but got in lots of steps on my stepper counter.

Great facilities and excellent dock hands who were very helpful, especially when we found ourselves with fog rolling in on our departure.
