Mark, thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. I will address this with the Marina Staff. How is this supposed to work? Marina Staff should attempt to contact you via VHF Marine Radio Channel 16, and switch to Channel 9 for the conversation. Alternatively, if you don't have a VHF Radio, please call 651-385-2575 if possible. Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, we do have fewer Staff due to students in High School and College, but we will attempt to help you into your slip if possible. I expect each guest to be treated properly. The call you received from the female Team Member is part of our closing procedure. Staff will attempt to call each guest who has not arrived so slip assignment and other information can be exchanged. Clearly, you were not marked as having arrived. I hope you will stay at Treasure Island Marina again in the future so we can give you a better experience.

Thank you for the review and the kind words about the staff. Our buoys mark an unofficial courtesy channel, and they were all swept away in the flood this summer. We were only able to recover 6 which float properly and have anchor weights. Those six were placed to mark the entrance of the channel and the start of the no wake area near the public boat launch downstream from the Marina. There was an error with the placement, but it was fixed 48 hours later. We were able to recover other buoys, some of which had travelled all the way to Lake Pepin approximately 20 miles downstream. Unfortunately, they either do not have anchor weights or they do not float properly. We are ordering new buoys, but with the manufacturing lead time they might not arrive in time for this season. According to the Corps of Engineers, approximately 1,200 wing dams were installed on the Upper Mississippi River between 1865 and 1935. Two are located at the entrance to Sturgeon Bay where Treasure Island Marina is located. As a courtesy, we try to mark the channel between the wing dams, but sometimes weather conditions affect those efforts. We hope to see you again at Treasure Island Marina when you feel comfortable arriving.

We are very happy with the new floats and decking on C Dock. We should have new power pedestals installed by the 2025 season! We look forward to having you as our guest again.
