Just an in & out for us. The harbormaster was great the mooring in superb condition. Can’t ask for more.

Nice prompt response and good clean pennants, a rolly anchorage with any north component, watch your depths at low in the approach if you have any keel. The YC facilities and inner harbor are truly special.

Ball was far out and anchorage was very rolly in SE swell.. plenty of room to anchor instead of paying $65 a night. Would not recommend

Great stopover mooring. Moorings are clearly marked, well spaced, and secure. You can also easily anchor in this area to the side of the moorings. The launch is free and timely, and brings you into the small town of Biddeford Pool. There is 1 place to eat, the locals are very friendly, and the marina folks make an effort to get to know you. Very peaceful mooring and beautiful area.

The mooring hardware is fine, but they are outside the Pool an offer little advantage over anchoring. Exposure to Saco Bay is considerable from North to East

Not for transient boaters. Mooring was way out (last one in field.) We were denied gas because we weren't members. Next closest gas is in downtown Portland. No one has diesel-not sure what's going on in Maine with that. Took a long dinghy ride to the Pool Lobster for disappointing meal that was very expensive.

It’s a lovely spot but we spent a very rolly night outside the harbor. It’s a long distance from outside moorings into shore if you’re traveling with pets. Pat was very nice & helpful.

A classic Maine harbor at a small village with superb views of the islands. Very quiet harbor and peaceful atmosphere. Good launch service.

Great, spacious mooring, terrific location, and excellent launch service (including escorting us to our mooring during rainy, blowy, socked-in weather).

The staff and Lodge drivers had been a pool are always very nice and very professional. Pretty little clubhouse with hot water for the shower. My only criticism is with Dockwa. You posted in your Information sheet which you sent to us that the launch was open until 7:45 PM. It closed at 7 PM. I suggest you correct your information.

I’ve stayed here many times but it has become unwelcoming in recent years and transients seem like an inconvenience. We arrived at 6:45pm and after a brief delay, we were directed to our mooring. Wanting to get to shore to get food, showers, and diesel, we hustled to get the boat put away and call the launch (knowing via their email that the launch closes at 7:45pm in July). When we called the launch at 7pm, we got no response. We, along with 2 other boats, were surprised and frustrated the launch had closed early. In the morning, the launch driver said the launch closes at 6:45pm. Given the high price ($75 Sat in July 2026) for a mooring, closing the launch at 7 or even 8 seems very early for July. Also, they charge double the retail price ($9 July 2026) for diesel.

Great spot to stay the night. Really appreciated Pat’s help and experience during a high wind dock landing and departure.

Great secure mooring field. 15 kts of wind made the pickup "interesting".

Great stopover or could spend a day or two here. Very responsive harbormaster to help guide us in at low. Moorings in good condition. Plenty of depth for our 6.5ft keel.

The launch service was mainly for members. Only after serving members would it service us on a mooring. I guess I understand that. Also the launch service ended at 6:45 pm.

Cute and convenient location. Nice short walk in National Audubon area at point, overlooking lighthouse. Helpful staff gave clear directions. Launch was helpful in informing us of local sights and food.

Nice mooring. Not the place to get fuel! Too much work for understaffed YC.

About Biddeford Pool Yacht Club

The Biddeford Pool Yacht Club is not a marina. We are a private Yacht Club that welcomes transient boaters to use our facilities for a nominal fee. We do not have slip space available. Our guest moorings are located in Wood Island Harbor, outside of the Pool. When it blows hard from the North or East the anchorage can become quite uncomfortable.

Moorings are $65 per weeknight and $75 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday up to 4 nights. If you'd like to stay longer than 4 nights, the rate doubles for each night you book thereafter. Maximum stay is 7 nights.

For over 80 years, members have gathered at the club for sailing, racing and our annual Chowder Luncheon. We offer sailing lessons to members and non-members alike. BPYC also works with the Fisherman's Association to share our waterfront and keep the local fishing tradition alive. We're open to new members and encourage boaters with a connection to the Biddeford community to apply. Additionally, there is a small local grocery store within walking distance of the club for those that need provisions.
