Great as always, We are 37’ LOA and will not stay on mooring # 5 again in that we run over mooring 10. Too tight. Better to be on #7. Also, surprised that there is not a staff member that can come to help with lines if one were to go to the dock with a big boat. Would suggest a staff member be available when someone comes to the dock that needs a hand.

Beautiful spot. The mooring was easy to book and very convenient. Had a good meal at the restaurant and met Lynette who was very helpful and hospitable. Super shower with great water pressure!!

Christmas Cove is a delightful harbor. Unfortunately, Cove Side Marina really should not be accommodating yachts over 40 feet. We are 57’ and we were swinging into the boat next to us which as a result had to go to the dock. Cove Side gave us the option to go to their dock but after settling on the second mooring and being told that they never had boats swing into each other, we opted to stay on our mooring.

Thank you for your review. Our moorings, 1-3 were all just recently adjusted to be sure that they could fully accommodate boats up to 60' and have had boats that size on all three of the moorings at the same time. We honestly have not had ANY issues all season. The tides were higher than usual due to the moon tide and the winds were up yesterday. We did offer for you to come into the dock, but were with the understanding that you had settled in. We truly don't feel that a 3-star review is fair, considering we absolutely tried to be sure you were comfortable.

Had a fabulous dinner in the bar area. Our dog also enjoyed his “kid” dinner. Great mooring and love to walk around the area. One of our favorite places!

Love Coveside! That Christmas Cove harbor is so charming! Always something going on...people swimming, yacht club kids sailing, people coming to eat at Coveside, and very quiet first thing in the morning. Coveside was so easily accommodating. We had been here before but first time using Dockwa! We were communicating w/Coveside via Dockwa app when we were almost there and they put us on a mooring for like 10 minutes until patrons were ready to leave their restaurant. Worked out perfect!

A wonderful location and restaurant! The moorings are all quite close to the docks. Unfortunately, access to the bathrooms and showers is restricted in the morning.

We had a really pleasant time at Coveside. The moorings have been re-spaced so there was good elbow room for moored boats. The anchorage is very well protected. The Coveside restaurant is very good with an extensive menu of reasonably priced food. The response to my Dockwa request was prompt and I was even able to book dinner reservations via Dockwa.

Fun spot. Really good moorings. Dinner wonderful with great service. Thank you! Stopped again 2 weeks later. Dinner was delicious and they couldn’t be more accommodating to boaters. Thanks to all!

Even though they did not have water or electricity, we had the best stay at Coveside! Lynette and John were so welcoming and the live music was so much fun! We loved how cozy the harbor was and being able to easily get out on our paddle board and explore. We will definitely be returning!

About Coveside Restaurant & Marina

Christmas Cove, located between Boothbay and Pemaquid Point in the picturesque village of South Bristol, was named for Captain John Smith when he anchored here, December, 1614. Coveside Restaurant & Marina offers a gorgeous setting, along with dock and mooring space in the safety of Christmas Cove. Enjoy a delicious meal on the deck overlooking the sailboats, or in our spacious dining room offering a spectacular view from every seat in the house. The Burgee Bar is a sailor's delight with ragged colorful burgees brought in from all over the world, hanging from the rafters.

If you have the opportunity, the Sunday Dockside Parties from 2-5 pm are a favorite event for locals and travelers alike! Dockside parties are known for their fantastic live music and atmosphere. SEE NOTE ABOVE REGARDING OVERNIGHT DOCK SPACE ON SUNDAYS
