Cape Charles Town Docks

We had the pleasure of staying 2 nights the weekend of August 8-9 with our boat club. Paula and her team were friendly, helpful, and accommodating as always.

Nicest staff we’ve met!

We had dock hands waiting for us. They tied to lines properly, helped with power, offered to take our trash and bring us ice. They even had a small gift for us. They’ve stepped up their service. Other marinas could learn something from them. Nice stay.

Dock staff was great. Town was nice. Had not been to Cape Charles in 7 years the town was really cleaned up.

What a great marina! The dock crew was great, very well organized all around. Hanging out at the Shanty after a day on the water just added to the value. I hope to visit again soon.

It was a great stay. The staff was awesome, Paula and her crew are the best. The town is also nice place to shop.

A lovely marina with the town of Cape Charles in walking distance. There is a great restaurant on site, and many excellent ones in town. Two ice cream places , great coffee (free in the harbormaster's office, and a terrific bakery in town. The docks are in good shape, with some renovations occuring and the heads/bathhouse is clean and nice. Paula the harbormaster, is the best! Welcoming and helpful. The dockhands are great as well. We will definitely be back when in the area.

CCTD needs a 10 star review!! Very well kept marina with constant improvements daily. Julie and I were very impressed with the attention given to us by the entire staff. And then there is Paula ( reason for 10 star review ) There must be 5 of them, she seems to be everwhere at once keeping the marina a jewel of the Bay. Thank you very much Paula for an awesome stay at Cape Charles!!

Staff quickly responded when they were hailed on 68.. dock hands appropriately handled lines during our docking. Dock master kept us informed as maintenance was being performed on part of the docks. Cape Charles had much to offer visitors. We’ll be back again soon.

Absolutely delightful experience at the CC Town Docks. Facility is upgraded and well maintained. Probably the best showers in the Chesapeake- roomy & plenty of hooks and a big bench for the shower stuff. Really good seafood at The Shanty, a short walk to the top of the docks. Dockmaster, Paula, is welcoming &’professional. All the dockhands are extremely helpful & accommodating. Highly recommend

Comfortable and friendly and helpful staff

Great place to stay. The staff were very helpful. Easy entry into the harbor and well marked docks with full length finger docks on one side. There is a restaurant adjacent to the docks. Do know that they play music until about 10p (this was a Saturday night). Walking distance to downtown.

Dockhands were very helpful and the freebies were great. Only issues were the ball valve for the water on our slip didnt work. The dock hands brought us a hose to use off another slip which was great. The wifi was not good. Ended up using the wifi from The Shack and it worked alot better. All in all we will be back!

Superb! The facility has always been nice. But there has been an improvement in service. The dock hands were really helpful and brought the greeting bag to the boat with codes etc.

Staff is helpful and professional. Location couldn’t be better. Cape Charles is a great stop.

Cape Charles City Docks (CCCD) Experience was excellent driven completely by the “crew”. Often use CCCD as convenient stop-off point for cruises up the bay from Virginia Beach. July trip which coincided with World Cup Final (not a driver but a desire). Arrival and docking was greeted with but could only be consider “spectacular service”. Like many am used to dock hands who are well intended but poorly trained. We were greeted with NASCAR level professionals. They absolutely knew what they were doing. And then…. That was nice but each went out their way to provide seldom experienced. Constant was “what can we do to help”. Rig the spring line, hook up the electrical, get a bag of ice (large and reasonable). With total cheerful attitude of “how do we make your experience better….’ Back to World Cup. Excellent suggestions which included non-recommendations. Lead us to a great place (AJ’s on Peach Street). CCCD is doing a wonderful job in a great location.

Another great trip. Easy docking, nice facilities and an easy walk to town. Always enjoy coming here.

Great personnel , nice floating docks so easy to tie up, decent restaurant at the marina. Bath house could be nicer. Close to the beach. A pool would have been nice with the hot temperatures.

Cape Charles Town Docks is a great place to stop. The marina restroom are clean and the docks are floating and well maintained.

Paula and her crew are the best

Great young staff. Nice floating docks. Shanty restaurant right there BUT they play loud outdoor music after 10pm heard on the docks. Downtown is nice with lots of shops. AJ's bar has excellent smash burgers.

I really enjoy the town of Cape Charles and Cape Charles Town Docks makes our visit that much more enjoyable. The staff is helpful, Paula was extremely accommodating with our slip assignment, the heads and showers are clean with plenty of air conditioning and the washer and dryer worked perfectly! There is also a bike rental right there next to the marina which is super convenient. I am sure we will be back.

Paula, the harbor master, and her staff were attentive and so helpful - and really made us feel welcome. The piers were spotless and we enjoyed being so close to main street. One of our favorite spots for sure! Thank you!
