Cape Charles Town Docks

Nice marina, nice staff, charming, walkable town.

Great locale, easy walk to quaint town. Clean, well kept facilities. Great comms on approach. Met/assisted by two friendly/knowledgeable dockhands. Will definitely stay again.

We just completed a three night stay at CCTD. Everything was wonderful. Staff are very friendly and boat-savvy -- I even learned a new cleat hitch knot I hadn't seen before from them. Paula the Manager is a Rock Star, changing my reservation countless times due to the nor'easter. The floating docks are easy in/easy out, the bathrooms clean and spacious, and the wi-fi so good I never felt the need to turn on my Starlink. The 16-18' depth of the cove supplied an added bonus we hadn't anticipated, which was seeing more than one huge yacht over 100 feet docking while in transit south, which the staff said is a regular occurrence this time of year. It was fun to see those boats operating up close, making our 42 foot sailboat feel like a dinghy. I read in other comments that the cement plant noise was bothersome to some boaters, which was not our experience. We were aware that they were working by the plant lights being on and seeing movement, but the noise was much less than the background music coming from the Shanty Restaurant (and that music was neither loud nor going at inappropriate hours). None of that noise can be heard from inside a boat with hatches closed. The town of Cape Charles has just enough shops and restaurants to be interesting, and the beach area is very pleasant and family friendly. All in all, it was a great experience and we will be back many times.

We had a great time, and the service was excellent from the moment we reached the dock. Paula and the dock crew met us at the slip, took our trash, brought us ice and some welcoming presents. The bathrooms were clean and the showers had plenty of hot water. We will be back for sure!

OK, but overpriced. Concrete plant across the way is ugly and noisy.

Excellent! Paula Davis, dock master, has made some great changes. Kept our Club together on the docks, greeted us with “freebies” and the check-in and check out were done electronically. No issues.

Staff was available, extremely helpful, and attentive. Golf cart was delivered to the marina! Great restaurants nearby!

It was a great stay! The staff were very helpful with docking and answering any questions about the area. Super friendly! We are definitely coming back and hope to bring some of our family with us next time.

The entire staff was friendly and helpful. There was a team to assist with lines and electrical when entering the slip. Bathrooms are clean. I will definitely return.

A definite improvement over my last stay. The dock staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the bright shirts; really made finding my slip easier. An offer to bring ice to the slip was very much appreciated. The new deck along the boardwalk is very nice. The bath-house was clean but could use a refresh

The town dock is now under new management for a couple seasons and has made great improvements to their service. The Dockmaster pays great attention to request and reservations. Dock hands are readily available, friendly, and willing to assist in any way. Maintenance of the docks seems to be a higher priority under the new regime.

Nice place - good restaurant close by - town is convenient (need trash cans between marina and town) - friendly staff. Will visit again. Recommended.

Great location next to a lovely restaurant. CCTD loaned me a shore power cord, as we left ours back at our hailing port. HAMLET Nordic Tug 32

Wonderful stay. The dock hands were professional, on the spot, and courteous. The marina facilities were well maintained. Always a pleasant visit.

Cape Charles is a delightful stopover. The shops, restaurants, bakeries, and creameries are fun to explore. Clean beach. No jellies seen. Throwback to a simpler, family centered vacation.
