Outstanding. I have an old sailboat that needs "this and that" and I've been to a few marinas and yards where I felt uncomfortable leaving the lot. Not here. Not only is the marina well managed and secure, but the boat yard is exceptional. All of the boats are being fixed, not just rotting on stands. I couldn't give a higher recommendation to the staff and the others folks docked here!

We strive for our customers to have the best possible experience and to always deliver good value with no surprises. I am disappointed to hear you may not have had the experience that we would like. We would appreciate the opportunity to address any concerns you may have.

McCotter's has been my home port for 6 months. There are 4 piers, each is over 400' out into Broad Creek. About a dozen boaters live aboard. The bathhouses are maintained nicely. The piers are not floating and a couple are still a bit tattered from Hurricane Florence's damage. These two things are the reason I only gave 4 stars. But the people are GREAT! Friendly and helpful. And the rates are quite reasonable. It was a good choice for a DIY boatyard and access to the Pamlico River.

After requesting a quote for boat upholstery, I was told to bring the parts in. Jessica filled out the paperwork and wrote very clearly, "call with estimate". There was never a call and Jessica was "out" every time I called. When I went and saw the owner, Mark, he said the work was already under way and would not give a price. I could not take the parts back because they were off site. When I finally picked up the parts the bill was astronomical. For six basic cushions, two were eight inches long bolsters, the labor was $795. That is $20 per hour for a 40 work week. Mark, the owner later had the audacity to say that was a discounted price. It would have been $1,095. in labor or $27.30 per hour for 40 hours. (For upholstery, not mechanical work and the receipt says nothing of the discount) The owner Mark did not deal honestly, has no integrity and never once apologized. This kind of business gives all business a bad name.
