Decent location tight is you have a larger boat… horrible facilities (bathrooms are disgusting). A bit overpriced

Hey Ray my apologies our bathrooms weren't up to your standards. They are cleaned every single day, just a bit older. I'm surprised you even had to use them with a boat of your size. But we have plans in place to do some renovations shortly, so hang on tight in that department. And we have plenty of room for larger boats, especially on the fixed peer. But sometimes things can get tight on busy summer weekends, like most marinas around here. And as far as price, we are on the more affordable end in Newport, especially for being on the main strip. Great place to stay. Marina manager Christian was top notch! He keeps everything running smoothly no matter weather conditions. Marina was clean, dock crew was friendly and helpful and it’s a dog friendly marina too! Easy walk into town. We will definitely be back.

Amazing staff they do a great job. Just watch out for the late night parties that are created by somebody else they will run till after one in the morning .

Loud music until 1am at club on dock, the facilities are shoddy, but the dock crew is excellent. Shout out to Christian and his crew.

Hey Rick, thank you for the review! I apologize for the loud music but we do not have control over that, as that is a separate business. In general, though, that is an unavoidable aspect of booking a marina on the main strip in downtown Newport during a busy summer weekend. Next time you book please give me some more notice and I will do what I can to put you in a more "quiet" area. Unfortunately due to the timing of the booking and how busy we were, that was the only slip available to fit your needs with limited mobility. I am glad it worked out in the end but I apologize your stay wasn't to your liking. Give me a call next time and I will do what I can to take care of you and get you a better slip assignment. As far as facilities, I apologize they weren't to your liking, but we do offer more than most marinas around us, and we do plan on updating everything soon. We have been here many times in the past. This is a good Marina and very convenient to town. Christian and Lewis and the other dock crew are great. It can be a little noisy with the live entertainment but we enjoy that. Nothing earplugs well resolve if you want to go to bed early.

Christian and his dock crew were skilled and friendly, very responsive. We were packed in tight, Mediterranean style, but it was Fourth of July weekend so I’m glad they could get us in. They did a great job getting us in and out, and tying the boats up with good fender. Great location near the downtown action.

Dock master and dock hands were great but loud band noise until 1:00AM was ridiculous. Ask if the band is playing. Before you reserve.

Rob, as the Marina Manager here at West Wind, I sincerely apologize for the loud music that kept you up at night from the neighboring property. Upon arrival, we made sure to move you to the best slip available to reduce the potential disturbance as much as possible. Unfortunately, neither I nor anyone at the Marina can control the noise from next door. This is an unavoidable aspect of booking a Marina in downtown Newport, especially during a busy weekend in the summer. I can assure you that if you were to visit during a quieter weekend or even on a weekday, our marina would have been more suitable for your needs. I would absolutely love the opportunity to serve your beautiful boat again if you give us another chance. However, if you plan to stay in Newport again (not with us), I would not recommend any marinas on the main strip if loud music is a dealbreaker for you. We had been waiting on parts which took longer than expected and were limping by with one water heater which seems to have not done the job on this busy weekend. Please Be Advised:
On high traffic weekends and holidays, vessels may be required to tie up stern to the dock (med-moored). Vessels will have close and easy access to electric as well as easy stern access for boarding. We will not be rafting anyone off of the dock or put any boater in a situation where they would be required to use another vessel to board their vessel.
Day Trips: For boats over 100 ft, please call for availability.
