Christian the person at the dock was very friendly and guided us right in. We were close to lots of restaurants and bars.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff; but the fixed docks make it difficult to properly manage the tide and if on the outside face the wind can be brutal on your boat against the pier (I had a fender pop and another one ruined).

Hey Ted, Thank you for your feedback. While we cannot control the weather in Newport, especially during the late season, we did our best to accommodate your last-minute booking. We had a full marina as you saw, and the fixed Pier was our only option. You seemed satisfied during your stay, aside from the unfortunate Saints loss, but if we had been aware of any concerns, we would have proactively arranged alternative accommodations. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back in the future.

Dock hands and staff were excellent. There were many boats the weekend we were there so it was a bit tight coming in and out.

Christian is friendly and helpful GM. Dock quality marginal and area around the marina rather desolate. Safe it provided access to town but not much more.

Generally good- only issue was that you share cleats with others and some people aren’t as careful as they should be when unhitching and rehitching your line. Some Jackass left too much slack which caused the bow of our classic whaler to rub against the corner of the dock causing some scratches and paint loss. >:(

Hey Capt, I am so sorry to hear about this. It would have been helpful if we were notified when you were here. We generally don't share cleats, and it's unlikely that our staff would adjust your lines. However, considering the activity around your boat and the proximity of other dinghies, it's possible that someone accidentally adjusted your lines when moving their dinghy. I'm surprised it would get dinged up with the fender protectors and rub rails that we have along our docks. But to prevent this in the future, I recommend investing in two slightly oversized tuna ball fenders to keep your Whaler safely off of any dock at all times. We had a brief 3-hour stay at West Wind Marina, and everything went smoothly. The approach was easy, and the marina provided excellent instructions over the radio. The dock staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Although we didn’t use all the facilities, the marina looked clean, well-maintained, and inviting. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Newport. West Wind Marina will definitely be our go-to spot whenever we visit Newport.

Decent location tight is you have a larger boat… horrible facilities (bathrooms are disgusting). A bit overpriced

Hey Ray my apologies our bathrooms weren't up to your standards. They are cleaned every single day, just a bit older. I'm surprised you even had to use them with a boat of your size. But we have plans in place to do some renovations shortly, so hang on tight in that department. And we have plenty of room for larger boats, especially on the fixed peer. But sometimes things can get tight on busy summer weekends, like most marinas around here. And as far as price, we are on the more affordable end in Newport, especially for being on the main strip. Great place to stay. Marina manager Christian was top notch! He keeps everything running smoothly no matter weather conditions. Marina was clean, dock crew was friendly and helpful and it’s a dog friendly marina too! Easy walk into town. We will definitely be back.

Amazing staff they do a great job. Just watch out for the late night parties that are created by somebody else they will run till after one in the morning .

Booking Info

Please Be Advised:

On high traffic weekends and holidays, vessels may be required to tie up stern to the dock (med-moored). Vessels will have close and easy access to electric as well as easy stern access for boarding. We will not be rafting anyone off of the dock or put any boater in a situation where they would be required to use another vessel to board their vessel.
