Great experience using Dockwa to book a mooring at The Bight. We decided to stay an extra night which was super easy to do with just a message. Wish we knew about the app earlier - we didn’t realize other booking apps were out there other than Boatyball - you guys need to get the message out there more widely!

Our stay was great! We decided to stay an extra day due to bad weather. We were assigned a different mooring ball for the 2nd night, however the attendant who rode around checking mooring balls was kind enough to let us stay on our original ball and the people coming in were happy to take our ball. Restaurant was great and live music was great! Great experience for first-timers (except the actual hooking onto the mooring ball-epic fail! But, we eventually got it! Live and learn!

Restaurant was great. People were great. But our mooring ball was double booked (as were others), and we had to hunt for another ball. Plus harbormaster wasn't around for another hour or so after arriving at 3pm.
Hello, so sorry to hear you did not have a good experience booking online. From what you've described, it sounds like the boater that was on your buoy (#38) at the time of your arrival ignored the reservation tag and connected to it despite. A situation we're working on correcting and also we can not double book as once the buoy # is reserved, it is no longer available in the system for selection. We also implore you to use the contact information provided on dockwa.com for the Norman Island Moorings, or call the restaurant and they can get the moorings attendant out to assist promptly. Apologies again and had we received contact, it could've been rectified forthright.

We paid on line then got charged again once we were there. Tried to get our money back but the yacht club didn’t open til 11 am and we were on a schedule that would not allow us to wait.

It was wonderful. We had a mooring close to the Pirate's Bight, the beach and snorkeling kept everyone busy, we jumped off The Willy T and then had a fantastic dinner with views and music at The Pirate's Bight!

cant fault the stay. i would say that norman island need to keep an eye on reserved moorings though. when we arrived, there was a vessel on our reserved mooring ( even though it had a reserved marker on it) and no one on board to ask to leave. we had to pick up alternate until that vessel left.
Very sorry about that. We do try to monitor the moorings field and assist customers where needed. Hopefully as the understanding gets out that Dockwa is available for reservations and what that reserved tag means, we'll get more cooperation for reserving boaters. Thanks!
