Hodgdon Marina

Stayed on the face dock (floating,) very easy in and out. Dockmaster very helpful. We didn’t need the facilities so can’t comment but everything is well kept. We were credited a night’s fee because we had to leave early due to weather. Thanks!!

The fellow at the dock is super friendly and helped us with tie up and fueling and the marina received a FedEx package for us (necessary engine part). The marina is located in a very protected area deep in the northwest corner of Boothbay Harbor and is an easy 12 minute walk to town for shopping, dining and sightseeing. Why not 5 stars? I can’t figure it out, but even though we’re at least a half mile north of the ‘No Wake’ line that makes the entire top half of Boothbay Harbor a no wake zone and we’re at the north end of a dead end cove, our Sabre 48 never stopped rocking…even in the middle of the night. It’s possible that if we were pointing south in the prevailing S wind, we wouldn’t have rocked nearly as much as we did during the E and NE winds we had during our 2-night stay. That said, it’s not nearly as bad here as being on the east side where day boat traffic is relentless, but does calm at night. Also, the moorings here are tight (maybe spaced 75’ from each other).

Hodgdon’s is the Perfect location with easy access to town and quiet evenings. The Dockmaster ( Ian) was excellent and had us set up quickly . We will be back for sure!!

Hi Folks For some reason it won't let me rate you on the boxes. Hodgdon Marina is a hidden gem of a place. Great location out of the crazieness of Boothbay. Nice clean rest rooms and showers. Ian McKay is super attentive and does a great job with helping customers. Great dock with fresh water and fuel. It's our go to spot. S/V Trilogy

Quiet location on west edge of Boothbay Harbor with easy walking distance into town. Open to south but not too "rolly" when we were there. Friendly harbormaster made sure we easily located our mooring ball and shared the history of the marina and boatyard as well as some of the local activities. Nice showers and token laundry facilities.

Good well located marina near the town centre. We took a mooring right next to the marina which made getting ashore easy. The dockmaster was very helpful and the marina facilities were good.

As with past stays, Ian was very helpful and made sure we were all set. Great dock and the location is an easy walk to the Boothbay downtown. Hope to get back one more time this season.

Manager Ian McKay was fantastic!!! he fixed our hot water heater which was not commissioned by our yard. Can’t say enough how much we like the quiet and support we get at Hodgdons

Always an excellent stay at Hodgdon Marina. Ian and Wayne are both excellent hosts. Facilities always in good repair and clean

A little difficult to reach the marina by phone. Was not given any information about wi-fi, showers, laundry. Friendly attendant, however, with all the answers when asked. Quiet mooring with only minor motion in light winds from the open south. Easy and pheasant walk to town in the evening and a row over in the morning. Would be happy to come back unless strong winds from the south.

As they say on their website, they’re on the “quite” side of the harbor but only a five minute walk into town. Nice town. Plenty of good restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Even a nice library. There’s a post office and hardware store in downtown as well. The marina was clean, bathrooms clean, docks in good condition, staff helpful. Worth a couple of extra dollars for a mooring out of the main harbor IMO.

Very helpful and friendly folks in the marina office. Good mooring in a good location, and an easy walk to town, but not in the middle of all the hubbub.

It was a very enjoyable and professional experience. We will return there again.
