Morningstar Marina is great! The dockhand we had did a great job and was very friendly. Docks are floating - always a major yay in tidal areas. It seems most transients get put on their T dock which is great when you’re unfamiliar with a marina. Our children enjoyed the pool (it is not heated fwiw). Bathrooms and showers are on second floor and T dock is quite the walk away. Wish there were more garbage cans along the docks!

The restaurant and coffee shop are both closed…this was a real bummer for us. And, contrary to the marinas website, Ubers were tough to come by. We waited more than 30 minutes on one occasion and another time Uber reported no cars were available.

Dockhand Caroline is terrific. Coastal Kitchen restaurant onsite is currently closed for renovations (re-opening maybe in April). Now required to make transient dockage reservations thru Dockwa and failed to get MTOA or AGLCA discount on dock rate.

Dock help was great. Otherwise disappointed by lack of advertised on site restaurant and morning muffins, and presence of unadvertized reconstruction of facilities.

Easy to check in, great dockhand on arrival, wish I had her name to highlight as she was nicest aspect of the stay. The restaurant is currently closed for repairs. The coffee shop was also closed during their posted open hours. The first shower stall- shower head popped off during shower and hit me in the head. The pumpout system for entire marina was down. If there wasn’t a February Dockwa discount we wouldn’t have stayed here for the regular per foot price listed. Can’t tell why it’s so high for what you get. An early check in was granted which was appreciated for exploring St Simons on foot.

This marina is amazing but it has been going through some pretty major renovations so it is in a bit of disarray as of this post. They also got rid of the courtesy car which was great to have and convenient. The restaurant (Coastal Kitchen) that is amazing flooded so it’s closed. Once they get it all back in order and restaurant reopens, it will be 5 stars again!! Great staff! Not as protected as Brunswick Landing Marina so watch out for tides. They are no joke in this area.

Great overnight stay. Dockmaster Allie is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Enjoyed Poke bowl at Fredericks on the island per her recommendation. They also had a bike for us to borrow. Easy in and out whether from ICW or ocean. We'll be back for sure.

Dockmaster was great helping us with lines and very friendly. But all the facilities are being renovated at the moment. So the toilets and showers are portajohns in the parking lot. And the restaurant is closed. Not what we expected for our most expensive marina yet on the ICW.

Over priced, to stayed tied to a fuel dock.

Always a simple and pleasant overnight stop. Almost always hit it going down or up the ditch. Or tucking in after or before an ocean run. Has a simple, usually-large along side tie up. Lots of nice restaraunts nearby. Good uber service.
