This is a real nice place to stay. We are traveling and could only stay a short time. But there is lots to see and do nearby. It's a good place to spend a few days. The restrooms were clean and the showers were hot. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the marina. One thing that was especially helpful was all the information they sent us before we arrived about things to see and do, transportation, restaurants, and local attractions. For anyone planning a stay, their attractions page is worth a look. It gives you a good idea of what’s around the area. Copy and paste it into your browser: https://hmbmarina.com/attractions The docks are some of the newest and most substantial we’ve seen on the Hudson. The finger piers are wide and very solid, and our slip was easy to get in and out of. Steve and the staff were great to deal with from the start. Communication before we arrived and during our stay was excellent, and they were very helpful with local information and recommendations. We were there during a pretty strong blow and were impressed with how protected the marina stayed. The seawall did a great job of keeping the wave action down, and our boat barely moved even with the conditions outside. We ended up visiting West Point, Bear Mountain, the Culinary Institute of America, and Croton Gorge Dam. Having the Metro-North station nearby was a real plus too, especially for getting into New York City without having to drive. Overall, we were very happy with the marina. Good facilities, a great location, and especially good protection in rough weather. We’d definitely come back. — Daniel Mercer

Marina and Steve were great, bathrooms and showers are right on the edge of needing a full makeover. Also do NOT stop at westerly in Ossining for fuel.

First, I need to begin with Steve, the man who runs Half Moon Bay Marina. Calling his dedication to a great customer experience amazing would be an understatement. Steve would constantly call me and be available for calls to ensure I had everything I needed. He also made it a point to make me aware of all possible cool sites and restaurants that were available in the area - fantastic recommendations and service! As for the Marina, excellent facilities, beautiful views.....can't wait to come back in the fall!!!!!

We came in on 8-4-26. We had planned on being there a couple of days earlier and had reserved a week for our wedding anniversary. We called Steve about our unplanned delay (on the day of our intended arrival) and we just shifted the whole reservation without a problem! When we did arrive we were met by Steve (Dockmaster) at our slip and I would say he was the most attentive, enthusiastic, and informative Dockmaster we have met on our Loop! The docks were in great shape. Unfortunately Steve is fighting an ongoing battle with some Canadian Geese that like to decorate the docks at night, but he is out there in the morning cleaning up. We walked into town for a meal at a Greek restaurant and rented a car for 2 separate days as well. The car allowed us to visit the Croton Gorge Dam (HIGHLY recommend a visit) and sightsee the surrounding area while we also got some errands run. The slip we were in was sufficiently large enough for us (we are 45' x 15.5' x 3.5') that we never felt crowded, touched bottom, or unsafe). We would DEFINITELY return and recommend others stop by and enjoy this marina and area! Thanks Steve for making our wedding anniversary stay enjoyable and memorable!!!

What was supposed to be a one-night stop turned into a 3-day stay! Half Moon Bay Marina is well protected from the wind, the docks are in good condition, the bathrooms were always clean, and Steve was incredibly helpful. There is so much to see and do nearby that we extended our stay. Be sure to ask Steve for the digital welcome package—it contains many of local restaurant recommendations, attractions, and insider tips that made our stay even better. One of our favorite stops on the Hudson River. Highly recommended!

Was promised deck hands None available Not given dock assignment so had no idea on depth within marina and ability to turn vessel if we went in to far So stayed on outside was rough docking in the wind They apologized however our dingy engine got clipped during docking UGH! Waters calmed down late into night so some sleep was had It is a beautiful safe marina Wish we had been there long enough to have used pool. Nice paved walkway but no stores or ice within walking distance

We are glad you visited. Although we had provided the slip number and several maps and detailed drone pics labeled where the slip was- we understand things happen. We do try to send everyone our digital attractions link, showing more than 75 stellar restaurants and shops within a block or two—an easy, flat five-minute walk. The ice was is always available right at the base of the office. Sorry your chart plotter problems added frustration, and we truly wish we had connected so we could have personally helped. We’ve invested heavily in a **completely rebuilt section of our seawall where we wanted to have you stay**, and our transient slips there are among the calmest and most protected in the marina. It’s difficult to see a review that feels so different from the experience we worked so hard to provide. Regardless, I’m sincerely sorry you had a difficult experience. We care deeply about our boaters, and I genuinely wish your visit had been a better one.

Location, Location. Marina has easy in and out from the Hudson. Has a DIY pump out on the outside at the north end. When arriving, if they don't answer on CH 9, call Steve @ 914-213-8600 and there will be folks to meet you at the slip. The train station is nearby for easy trips to Poughkeepsie or the City. If you live in the City, you can keep your boat here long term and get to it on the weekends for the boater lifestyle. Banks, groceries, liquor, and restaurants within walking distance. No fuel, but it's available across the Hudson at Safe Harbor Haverstraw. If you have Volvos and need maintenance, there is a Volvo certified mechanic at TZ Marine (914-930-8512) who will come to the marina.

I originally was going to stay for 2 nights. Steve the harbormaster was great. He sent me restaurants, sites to visit and great directions into the marina. We had a great stay and pulled an audible the next day to go further up the river to see West Pojnt. He was very helpful in arranging that through Dockwa and we stayed our second night further north! Great experience. Half Moon Bay Marina was very nice. Nice people staying there and many people doing the loop stay as well.

We had a recent delivery on the Hudson River and Half Moon Bay Marina was the perfect spot to have a comfortable stay with proper facilities for the crew. My husband and I are doing the Great Loop and stopped at Half Moon Bay for three nights. What a delight. Steve was so incredibly helpful giving us so much information about the area and sights to see. The marina is beautiful and well kept. People around us were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. We loved our stay. We live in Florida but if we are ever back in the area we will definitely return.

Friends of ours have owned a slip at Half Moon Bay Marina for years, so we finally stayed overnight to see what they loved so much. They were right. The marina is spotless, the docks are beautiful, and everything is incredibly well maintained. We loved being able to walk our dog for miles right from the marina, and it's just a quick walk into town where there are tons of great restaurants, bars, and places to grab a bite. We left saying we could definitely see ourselves owning a slip here someday.
