Really nice stop. Even with a little current it was easy to get in and out of. Friendly staff with a lot of nice extras like multiple grills (with propane) and even a flat top. Good ship store and nice patio and outdoor bar area. Ended up getting a short haul to get our bottom cleaned and zincs changed and they knocked it out out in a couple hours.

Very nice and clean marina. We came in late Friday and called ahead for slip assignment assuming closing time on weekend would not leave us with help, however they had no problem and were waiting on our dock to catch lines and give us a run down of amenities. This is a great stop before canals. They even had a big camp fire at dark

What a woderful place on the river. Facilities were nice and the Dock hands were first class! Good restaurant on site. If you want their prime rib get there as they ran out before I could get mine.

What a great spot to stay the ship Store is wonderful. The staff is incredible. The boathouse is a great spot to eat as well as have a drink. I actually dumped in the pool and their facilities for showers are very nice. Docks are in great shape. Water pressure was good definitely will stop back by again.

Came in to get fuel and dock in rain. The owner was out helping dockhands get people settled. They have a genuine commitment to making sure we have what we need and enjoy our stay. Great stop!

Donovan’s Shady Harbor is a must stop. In our many Marina stops on the Great American Loop, we found this marina to be the BEST when it comes to hospitality! Wonderful Pig Roast and biggest Docktails!! Great floating docks, nice bath house, marina store, and awesome courtesy ride by Kathy! They exceeded our expectations. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful time. Billy and Kathy Donovan are the absolute best. The staff was so friendly and nice. Who knows, maybe if we do the loop again we’ll stop again.

Nice marina. Easy in/out. Very good help in docking with wind/current. Nice one or two night stay to get ready to do the Erie Canal. Nice ships store with a little bit of everything. Good restrooms/showers. Nice laundry area. Enough green space and grounds for the dogs to get a decent stretch of their legs. Wakes from the waves were minimal considering it is right on the river. Nice staff and great info from the harbor hosts that stay there.

Nice marina and great people. Extremely helpful. There’s a harbor host as well with lots of knowledge for loopers and boaters getting ready for all the locks. Definitely would stay there again.

Stay for the day or the entire season at this family & pet friendly facility and enjoy a full-service marina complete with a convenience store, ships store, gift shop, air conditioned bath house, laundry room, pool, restaurant, & more. We offer water hookup, gas & diesel, electricity, and pump-out service for overnight dockers.
We monitor channel 16 on VHF radio; call ahead as you approach so our dock master can help guide you into our easy approach, deep water slips.
