Champlin’s is one of New England’s largest resort marinas and features 4,700+ linear feet of dock space, a 30′ harbor depth, and spacious docking facilities, allowing us to accommodate vessels up to 250+ ft.

All marina guests have full access to all the resort amenities including our renovated onsite boutique hotel, three waterfront dining experiences, daily live music (in season), swimming pool, bicycles, paddle boards, fire pits, and much more. Your slip includes complimentary Wi-Fi and water, and access to bathhouse and shower facilities. Pump-out is available upon request from the town. Our marina features state-of-the-art GFCI pedestals.

As a seasonal slip holder, you have a dedicated dock space for your vessel from June 1st - September 30th. COMMON QUESTIONS:

QUESTIONS?: Our dock team is not always near a phone, so please message us through Dockwa with any questions or requests. We are always happy to give you a call, so feel free to message us with a request to call and the phone number that you would like us to call you on.

GUEST BRACELETS: From July 1 through Labor Day we ask that guests wear bracelets that identify you as a guest. You will need these at the pool and for bikes and water sports. For bikes and water sports, each guest will also need to fill out an insurance waiver. You and your guests can take of these at either the Dock Office or the Hotel Front Desk.

CHAMPLIN’S SHUTTLE: The Champlin’s Shuttle runs from 9:00am to 9:00pm daily during peak season (more limited hours in the shoulder season). The shuttle circles from the property to the shuttle stop in town. The shuttle stop is at Aldo’s Bakery on Weldon’s Way. We can also make a stop at the airport upon request. Other stops are not permitted.

VESSEL INFORMATION: It is important that your boat information is accurate on your reservation. This includes the name of the vessel, the length, the beam and the draft. If you arrive and the information is not correct, we may not be able to accommodate you and you will forfeit your deposit. At a minimum you will need to spend time at the office correcting your reservation, we want you to be able to spend all of your time having fun on Block Island! So please make any corrections and updates prior to arrival.

SLIP ASSIGNMENT REQUESTS: While we can't guarantee specific slip assignments, we do try to get everyone as close to where they want to be as possible, and try our best to accommodate as many requests as we can. Please be sure to message us through Dockwa with your request.

EARLY CHECK-IN REQUESTS: Check-In is at 4:00pm. We can't guarantee early check-in, but if we have space available, we are happy to bring you in early. Please reach out to the dock team on channel 11 when you are in the harbor and they will let you know if we have space. If we don't, you can wait in the anchorage area of the Great Salt Pond. There is a launch service and we have a dinghy dock. You would be welcome to utilize the property all day. If we do have space, there is sometimes an hourly charge based on occupancy levels and the time of arrival. Please check with the dock team to confirm any charges.

On days with many arrivals, please expect a queue. We will take the boats in the order they come in and/or as it makes sense for specific slip assignments. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

LATE ARRIVALS: The dock team is there until 7:00pm. If you need to make arrangements for a late check-in, please be sure to do so prior to 5:00pm. There may be additional charges based on the time and the number of dock hands that need to return after hours.

LATE DEPARTURE REQUESTS: Check-out is by 11:00am. We realize that many of you would like to stay later, but it is simply not possible on many days. Please check with the Marina Manager to see if we can accommodate a later departure. When available, hourly fees will apply. We greatly appreciate your understanding and promptness with departures.

DAY DOCKAGE: We offer day dockage when we have space available. It’s not available for advance reservations and can only be done same day. However, feel free to reach out to us the day before to see what it looks like. Day Dockage is available at 50% of the rate for that day and is typically available from 9:00am to 6:00pm. We also offer an hourly rate, ranging from $20 - $60/hour depending on the size of boat, our occupancy and the season.

POWER PEDESTALS: We feature state-of-the-art and state mandated GFCI pedestals. This a requirement of the National Electrical Code for boater safety. If your boat has a ground fault issue, you may not be able to use any or all your electrical systems. Marinas who have yet be required to upgrade their system, may not have detected this issue and therefore work. We understand this is frustrating, but if you choose not to stay, your deposit is non-refundable. There are no refunds for early departures.

TENDERS: We often do not have space for tenders on the main docks. If we do not have space, tenders under 12’ may be accommodated on our dinghy dock at no charge. Tenders of 13’ or larger require a separate reservation and may be rafted to your boat at the marina’s discretion. If you are rafted, you will receive true-to-size pricing.

Booking Info

Champlin's utilizes dynamic pricing, which means that rates will fluctuate based on demand. This is a strategy that is commonly used in other familiar hospitality industries such as hotels, airlines, and car rentals. Similarly, Champlin's may adjust their prices in real-time based on market conditions such as supply and demand.

In addition to dynamic pricing, Champlin's also implements a minimum LOA requirement of 35' during our peak season, and has a minimum night stay requirement during nights of surplus demand. If a reservation request for these certain nights does not meet this minimum, the quote will be adjusted to reflect a minimum night stay. Base rates do not include electricity.

If the dates you are looking for are unavailable, please add yourself to the waitlist, as these guests will be prioritized first as space becomes available.
