New floats and more space for dinghies is a definite plus but only one outdoor shower when previously two. WiFi and cell service is pitiful Don’t know why they need to change the code everyday. No one is going to steal the service.

They couldn’t be a nicer bunch of people, and of course, Bucks Harbor never disappoints, they didn’t even charge extra for the humpback whale show.

The first time you come into the harbor to pick up a mooring, be aware that the mooring balls have two different numbers and it is easy to miss the number you are looking for. I had trouble my first time and I witnessed others searching for there number.

We were pleased with the service, unfortunately the marina ran out of diesel fuel but we had an adequate supply to make it to our next stop.
One suggestion I would make would be to make the small supports at the ends of the dock, like they have at the Bucks Harbor Yacht Club. Those are very helpful for old folks like me who had both knees replaced and has extreme difficulty getting from the inflateable onto the dock.

Excellent facilities and location! The crew was welcoming and very willing to lend a hand. Lots of boats in the harbor but plenty of room to swing on the mooring. The ship store had all the necessities (aka good beer & wine and ice) and a great selection of souvenir shirts. Outdoor shower was a pleasant experience with plenty of hot water. Water and fuel at the spacious dock, pump out boat comes to you on the mooring. Extra perk - Hamilton Marine will next day deliver your order right to the dock for in stock items and the BHM crew will help you place your order.
Just go already! It's a great place to visit and the reboot of BHM was worth the wait!

We love staying here! The moorings are all new this season. The staff are friendly and helpful. The little store is surprisingly well stocked with drinks, a bit of boat gear, souvenirs, and even cut your own herbs! But the best part is the outdoor shower! We always make a point to come a few times each summer.

Although right at the start of their season and unusually cold, with final commissioning still ongoing, the staff was attentive and accommodating, and the facility, especially the outdoor seating area, already looked great and inviting. The mooring balls and pennants are new since last year, gas and diesel available at reasonable cost, and a pump out boat is on site

Requesting process easy, confermation slow, mooring assignment never happened so we picked one suutable for our boat. Marina hours listed as 8am to 6pm but not so. Offseason time shown elsewhere as 10am to 2pm. Marina service goood, pleasant staff. All said, we would go again

What a great spot. Easiest fuel and water stop ever. We stayed a couple nights on their 48' floating dock. Everything was new and picturesque. Will be back.
About Buck's Harbor Marine
Buck's Harbor Marina is open with full Fuel (Diesel and Non-Ethanol) in 2026. We maintain over 30 transient rental moorings. This is one of the largest mooring fields available in Penobscot Bay. The majority of our moorings are deep water and we can accommodate boats up to 68' in length.
Our Marina has a small collection of classic daysailors that you can rent via membership at MaineClassicBoats.com, as well as powerboat rentals at Bucksharbor.com/rentals.
Buck’s Harbor’s deep water, full protection and quick access to prime sailing grounds make it one of the most desirable harbors in Maine. There are presently 365 moorings in our Harbor. For many people, Buck’s Harbor Marina is home base.
Our Ship's Store carries the full range of Beer + Wine, along with local ice cream, novelties and apparel. We have a small collection of ship necessities and hardware as well. Our seating area is the perfect place to sit back and relax and we have a small herb garden for visiting cruisers. Buck's Restaurant is open for reservations from Weds-Sunday.
