What a great spot. Easiest fuel and water stop ever. We stayed 3 times this season. Everything still looks new and picturesque. They even had a classic boat gathering and BBQ before we left. Thank you. Will be back.

Our stay was cut short due to a problem with our generator but it was otherwise good. Did have trouble finding mooring after 5:00PM. The one we were assigned was taken by another boat so we ended up on a different one, which was fine.

Facility as always clean and well run. We sail penobscot every summer and stop in for ice, fuel, laundry. Unhurried and easy dock. We love the outside shower. This year there is an herb garden, we had fresh mint in drinks.

Buck’s Harbor is a special place as is Buck’s Harbor Marina. Quintessential Maine harbor tucked away in a corner of Penobscot Bay. The marina has gorgeous containers of herbs for the boat - with honor system cash box. An outdoor shower is not be missed as it has the best view in Maine.

The best! Tiny marina in a beautiful and tranquil cove… great collection of character at the desk and classy launch ride.
Highlights include a sumptuous ice cream at the hut, a great coffee shop up the way with ginger ice cream and apple fritters. Also a top notch restaurant a short stroll away.

Bucks Harbor Marina is the best. Tom, Sophie and Papatya are all extremely friendly and helpful. This is always one of our favorite cruising destinations. The only thing to be aware of is the hot water in the indoor shower takes awhile to get hot. If you have time, get a reservation at the Market Restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Fantastic food

Bathrooms were disgusting - a complete disaster. The location is paradise except for the completely unsanitary bathroom situation.

We love Bucks! Note: the market up the hill is closed on Sunday. And the marina’s inside shower has iffy hot water and is kinda grotty.

About Buck's Harbor Marine
Buck's Harbor Marina is open with full Fuel (Diesel and Non-Ethanol) in 2026. We maintain over 30 transient rental moorings. This is one of the largest mooring fields available in Penobscot Bay. The majority of our moorings are deep water and we can accommodate boats up to 68' in length.
Our Marina has a small collection of classic daysailors that you can rent via membership at MaineClassicBoats.com, as well as powerboat rentals at Bucksharbor.com/rentals.
Buck’s Harbor’s deep water, full protection and quick access to prime sailing grounds make it one of the most desirable harbors in Maine. There are presently 365 moorings in our Harbor. For many people, Buck’s Harbor Marina is home base.
Our Ship's Store carries the full range of Beer + Wine, along with local ice cream, novelties and apparel. We have a small collection of ship necessities and hardware as well. Our seating area is the perfect place to sit back and relax and we have a small herb garden for visiting cruisers. Buck's Restaurant is open for reservations from Weds-Sunday.
