Great Marina & Restaurant - As a long time multiple time "Great Looper" - there should be more Marinas like this. Great food, great service, great place to wait out a favorable tide.

No response on channel 16 on approach. As we entered marina, a tender operator showed us to slip and was helpful getting us squared away.

Beautiful facility, which is perfectly located on the C&D Canal, between Cape May and Annapolis. Great staff and dockage. Friendly and helpful. I will plan to stay there any time I'm going through the ditch.

Very pleasant marina, although the band Friday night was pretty bad. Need a better band.

Wonderful stop on the way to the Chesapeak Bay. The whole basin was dredged spring 2024. The dock master was friendly and helpful. The town is walkable right from the marina. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, fantastic and skilled dockhands at helping to get boats into their slips in very tight quarters.

This is the first bad rating I am ever giving! This was truly the worst experience at a marina we've ever had and we've stayed in over 500 marinas! The dock hands were very nice but that's where it ends. We paid $154 for one night's stay. Had I realized where they were going to put us, we would have canceled. The slip was on an angle in front of the Tiki Bar with a finger pier pointing at the starboard side of our boat about 2' off. We have a power catamaran. It was windy getting in and we had been underway did 6 am from Atlantic City. We docked without issue. The restaurant staff were some of the rudest people we've went encountered and the noise level was deafening. The bar music was so loud, our boat was vibrating until midnight from the bass. In the morning, the winds kicked up, no staff on-site and we had to walk out boat out of the slip using four lines readjusting them as we went. Fortunately a young man from another boat was able to help. It took almost 45 minutes to be able to leave the marina safely. I will NEVER recommend anyone staying with this marina. The noise is incredible, the staff is rude and we were placed in a ln unsafe situation. Our fault for taking the slip, but being exhausted clouded our judgment.
Marina Response:
I am truly sorry to hear you had a poor experience! We here at the Chesapeake Inn Marina strive for greatness, proven by our 50+ five star reviews this summer alone. My marina staff's willingness to help the customer's needs goes beyond that of any marina on the upper bay, that is, if the customer is willing to let the dockhands know how they can help! Once you are berthed, that is your moment to express any concerns regarding your slip. As captain and mate, your judgement of the slip goes just as far as our staff's, if not further. If 2ft to the next vacant slip concerned you, that should have been made apparent to the dockhands the moment you saw the slip, not the next day over a review. Our dock staff was here until 10:30pm, ready to help alleviate any stress from the bar, and more than happy to be called back in to make any adjustments in your favor. Arriving early AM to help you depart would have been a delight for us, if you had asked us to be here to help you. Otherwise, we assume the captain of an Aquila 44 can manage backing off of a side tie slip, down an unobstructed 50+' wide fairway with wind direction pushing you off of the dock. The music was turned down to the Chesapeake City Town noise ordinance levels at 11pm. Your recommendations were never needed, but I appreciate the sentiment in telling me. Find peace along your travels, be safe and kind - Clement, Dockmaster

A nice stop on our way back to Annapolis. Onsite restaurant and bar is quite good and dock hand Clement was very helpful and courteous! Looks shallow on the chart, but we were told recent dredging gave minimum 8 feet inside.

We were given a slip on C dock for our 40 foot boat. The dock hand that assisted us should be giving lessons to all dock hands up and down the bay. We were near the band (a fabulous one- even with the horn section!!) and it made the night so much fun. Our waitress on the dock was terrific- so attentive and prompt with our orders. We will be back!

Was a great weekend . Plenty of beverages, food and entertainment. Our whole crew was very satisfied with our stay. It's now a yearly trip for us. Dock hands and dock waitress were great and checked on us often. Very pleased.

Dock hands are olympic runners and gymnasts!! Saved my boat from getting hit 2 times -- before I knew what was happening. AMAZING!

A hidden gem. Docks were great. We were not able to get power, but the Dock guys tried a number of different things (we were credited $ for having to stay on generator). The Restaurant has amazing food and is a happening place. It's a cute town to walk around, everyone is really friendly. Will definitely make this a stop off in the future.
