What a great place! Jeff and Lisa were SO helpful and welcoming. Bathrooms and showers spotless, and the docks were first class. Love the meeting area with tables and chairs. Hiking trails were in great shape, and the waterfall was a fun uphill hike. Thanks, we will be back. KELP BED

Incredible place, first rate service, awesome environment. One of our favorite summer stops.

Very nice marina in a beautiful setting, though somewhat pricey. Jeff and Lisa were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The showers were clean with no apparent time limit. One evening we were treated to the view of a humpback whale blowing and slowly swimming by not far from the docks.

What a jewel deep in the Toba marine wilderness! We weren’t expecting to find anything up in that area, but we were low on ice and dreaming of hot showers when we saw our handy boater’s guide notes on the aptly named Toba Wilderness Marina. We called and they were able to squeeze us in that very afternoon. We were greeted at the dock as we rounded the corner to our slip and were happy for the assistance getting our 41’ ft Hunter sloop tied in. All the staff/owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. The meticulously clean showers/full bathrooms were complementary, as was the ice! We had shore power and plentiful fresh water that comes from a local spring. We were encouraged to use all we like so we took the opportunity to wash down our salty vessel and get her shined up. There are 3 walking trails, all with views out to the sound or Toba Inlet. We enjoyed meeting other boaters there - everyone was very friendly and helpful. After luxurious showers and a peaceful night’s sleep it was the perfect jumping off point to explore spectacular Toba inlet the next morning. We look forward to returning on our next trip up into this jaw droppingly beautiful part of the world. The only caveat to this lovely marina is the cost. They are off-grid up there, so all the power comes from generators, which are not cheap to operate. Hot showers, fresh water, power and a safe harbor are worth a lot when you’re up there for a few days! Another caveat: a mama grizzly and her 2 cubs made an appearance that evening, on the beach next to the marina… and just minutes after we’d come back from our hike into the woods! Toba Marina also provides complementary bear spray!

Our two-day stay at Toba Wilderness Marina was truly memorable. My wife Colleen and I enjoyed everything from relaxing evening conversations around the fire pit to hiking up to the beautiful waterfalls during the day. One of the highlights was watching a deer swim across the channel and come ashore right in front of us at the marina! The views along the channel were spectacular, and our hosts, Jeff and Lisa, were terrific. They were always available to help, wonderful to chat with, and genuinely focused on making sure we had a great stay. We enjoyed our time immensely and we will happily return.

This was our first visit to Toba and we were SO impressed! It is gorgeous and immaculately maintained. All the staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist. We loved the waterfall trail. Jeff was above and beyond. We will definitely return.

We had a fantastic 1-night stay at Toba Wilderness! Our 38 foot sailboat was having issues with its house battery bank, compounded by some overcast skies that removed significant replenishment by the sun. We were able to squeeze in a Toba Wilderness and what a pleasant experience it was. From being greeted while docking by Paul and Nahanni, to Paul helping troubleshoot our electrical issues, to an impromptu potluck invite by a visiting group of 10 or so boats, to the impeccable dock, covered lounging area, and toilet/showers, this was a uniquely special marina in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable. I will be back with my wife and our dog!

We returned for a stay in July 2026. The marina features sturdy concrete docks, wide access, allowing boats to pass with extra room, good power, and excellent potable water. The grounds feature multiple trails, and a beautiful huge covered gathering area with comfortable furniture for socializing. We've not used the clean & well-maintained showers or bathrooms, but they are popular. The location is wonderful, with the marina only a couple hours (in our trawler) from one of the most interesting waterfalls in the area. A confident captain can stick the bow of his boat into the flow of the waterfall as it splashes into Toba inlet. Views from the marina include the bay and dramatic mountains. While all this is good enough, Paul and Nahanni are a key part of what make the stay so pleasant. They are super helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and have helped me get things in place for a last minute guided salmon fishing half day. Paul and Nahanni are the best hosts I've seen at any marina. I consider staying at Toba Winderness a "must" if I'm in the area.

Toba Wilderness Marina was the highlight of an amazing experience in Desolation Sound. The views at the dock and nearby Inlet are magical. The hosts (Nahanni and Paul) are the nicest and most helpful people you could ever meet. An exceptional stay top to bottom. We'll be back!

One of the most fabulous places in the world. However, the caretakers at Toba made the experience exceptional. Stayed 3 days, wanted to stay 3 months.

Our stay at Toba Wilderness Marina was a complete treat start to finish. The views are gorgeous! Paul and Tahanni are wonderful hosts, meeting us at the dock, providing all kinds of help and information with a smile throughout our stay. The elevated patio and outdoor seating are very welcoming. We will be back.
