Everyone from the office staff to the gas dock workers were extremely accommodating. Wonderful stay! Enjoyed the farmers market on Saturday, right next to the marina, as well.

I would give this marina a five star except for one issue. They need to lock the bathrooms, or at least keep them open during the day and lock at night. People are inconsiderate, and leave messes on the toilets. Since people are unable to use the restroom properly, clean then lock up at night so marina guests can have clean facilities. Otherwise, great stay. The man who manages the fuel dock was very helpful.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Docks and facilities are clean and well cared for. And the location is beautiful, near a beach and walking tail, and just a couple blocks from several restaurants.

Beautiful marina with an updated guest dock and great staff. The area restaurants are a short walk away. I wish there was a grocery store closer but there are a couple of small bodegas within walking distance.

The marina is really nice and so are the people there. Nice area to walk dogs, lots of restaraunts close by as well. The only reason for 3 stars is for some reason it's never calm in the marina. Even with no wind I was constantly rocking around. When there was wind it was exponentially worse. I'm not sure how all the swells make it in around the breakwater.

A very unsafe marina its open to the public its more like a park than a marina u have cars and people all over the place my boat was vandalized down their and many thefts and like two security cams on the hole propery

We stopped in here on our way south to Chinook Landing Marina and found the guest moorage very straight forward and easy to manuever (we have a 47' ketch). Guest moorage is parallel to the north most dock, across from the fuel dock. Des Moines is in the process of rebuilding and improving many aspects of the marina. From the work and drawings we saw it looks like it will be very nice when it is completed. However, if you are looking to moor long term here you will be on a waiting list several years long and the rates are some of the highest in the Sound. On a much brighter note, there is a restraurant here that is worth the stop. Barnacles is a locally owned and run Steak and Seafood place just two blocks east of the marina at the main entrance. The dinner we had was equal to some of the best restraurants in Seattle at a fraction of the price. Great food, fantastic service and warm friendly atmosphere.

Welcome! The City of Des Moines Marina is a full service marina on majestic Puget Sound. We offer superior customer service to one-time visitors and our long-term tenants. Offering wet and dry moorage for 840 recreational vessels.

The Des Moines Marina is located on the east side of the East Passage of Puget Sound.

If you are interested in permanent wet moorage, slip sizes range from 20-50 feet, and you can chose from open or covered slips. Upland, we have 105 dry sheds for boats up to 20 long. For your convenience, we maintain a waiting list for all permanent moorage slips and the upland storage facilities. Contact the Marina office for more information.

Our fuel dock offers gasoline, diesel, propane, lubricants, potable water, and snacks. There is a free waste pump-out station at the fuel dock. Other amenities include shore power 30A, showers and restrooms. A privately-operated boat repair yard can handle virtually all of your maintenance and repair needs and a privately owned boat brokerage. While you are here you can relax in the privately owned wine/coffee bar and sample some local tastes.

The guest moorage area provides dock space for you and all your friends. Vessels up to 100 feet in length are welcome. Presently all guest moorage is available on a first-come basis. When arriving, check in at the fuel dock near the marina entrance.
