Been at the harbor since 2006. Have always loved the staff. The past couple years were not what we were used to. Staff change came with different ways of training and what was available to boaters from the dock hands, office staff, etc. Also the early closing of the gas docks and harbor offices on any given day without any warning to boaters. Also the bathrooms being closed for the year prior to October 15. We pay for the full six months and should be able to access during the dates of May 15 to Oct 15.
We have sold our boat and will be giving up our slip for the upcoming boating year.

I am in the upper harbor in Elk Rapids next to the courtesy docks. I have several bumpers on the starboard side of my boat and yet each year I end up with several scratches on that side from other boats.
On two occasions this year the boat in the courtesy dock next to me was so wide I could not get into my slip.

Great staff and a well appointed harbor. Elk Rapids never disappoints!
The harbor entrance needs some serious attention to stop the endless wave action in the harbor. I have never rocked that much in any harbor on the great lakes, even Leland's entrance is better protected than Elk Rapids.
Overall a 5 star rating as this harbor has so many things other harbors do not. IE A shuttle to take boaters to restaurants or shopping. A shuttle for trailerable boats when the trailer spots are full in the parking lot. A beautiful pavilion on the water and plenty of grills and picnic tables for all of teh boaters.

Superior Harbor, facilities and an extremely helpful & friendly staff. Short walk to many village restaurants, shops, 2 beaches and the community library. Harbor also provides a shuttle service if needed.

Full season slip holder. This Marina is the best! Dock crew was leaner this year…I assume due to hiring difficulties…so assistance when coming back to the slip was much less frequent than previous years. Crew was always very courteous and capable. Need to get the portable pump out unit fixed for special needs and upper harbor. These are the only areas for improvement I can think of. Overall, another great experience!

A beautiful marina with excellent facilities next to a lovely town. We found it easy to maneuver our 42' sailboat.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. All the docks were in great shape. Bathrooms were immaculate. Downtown is just a block away with quaint stores and good restaurants.

Apon arrival, our slip assignment changed. We were curtly told assignments could change at any time. When entering the marina, it was changed AGAIN. This second change we were told was to locate us nearer our group. It was actually further away. There were other slips much closer that were unoccupied during our stay. Otherwise, the facilities were very nice.

The marina had everything needed and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Only complaint is that the bathroom code on dockwa is incorrect and we had to ask other boaters who have a permanent slip the code.
