The staff and Dockmaster were very nice and helpful. That why 2 stars. Unfortunately, one of the 3’ tall standpipes for the fire department damaged the side of my boat. The shore power (I paid for 50 amp service) was not available I had use a double 30 amp adapter which tripped the GGCI on 2 stands. We were supposed to be hauled out at 8:00.am. We didn’t get hauled out until 11:30. This caused a delay in us being put back in because there wasn’t enough water. My survey wasn’t finished and now myself, the buyer and the surveyor have to meet again to complete the sea trail tomorrow. This cost me a lot more money the the overnight dock fee and the power I paid for that wouldn’t stay connected. Very disappointing.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Docked for a long weekend without issue. Power/freshwater easily accessible. Fish cleaning station. Enjoyed our visit.

A hidden gem! Pros: Great dock crew, good communication. Holly in membership services was super helpful with a golf cart and tee times. Dinner at on-site Morgan River Grill was surprisingly good. Plenty of deep water even at low tide. Opportunities: AC power for the 50amp was only 194 (vs. 240 or even 208), which was tough for our a/c system. Otherwise a nice stay!

A great community and Morgan River restaurant is excellent. If you are a golfer bring your clubs on the boat as they have 2 awesome golf courses. Not a lot of dock space for transients so make your reservation well in advance.

Friendly, Knowledgeable staff that do the little things well. They are very patient yet at the same time run an efficient operation. I have kept my boat there since purchased in 2023 without issue or complaint.

Beautiful spot! Great restaurant on-site, but closed on Sunday so we only got to go once. Showers are nice and laundry is free. Great sunrise and sunset surrounded by nature and friendly people. Nothing else on the island except for the one restaurant and no way to really get deliveries or anything so plan ahead. Dockhands were helpful and very welcoming.

We have friends in the neighborhood, great place to stay. Very good restaurant at the Marina. Dock hand know what's going on & Dockmaster was very accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks guys

About Dataw Island Marina

Dataw Island Marina is a short & scenic ride from the ICW and offers a full service boatyard operated by DIOA, wet slips, dry stack storage, transient slips, and tie-ups for up to 15 boats, as well as lifts to accommodate boats up to 50 tons. Dine on site at the Morgan River Grill!

Exclusively for our overnight transient guests, with advance request: enjoy full access to the resort-style community, including golf and tennis, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, croquet, bocce, and more. Please inquire within for access to these great features and activities! Please be sure to get your requests in early!

Fuel, restaurants, ship store, island amenities available; please inquire with our Harbormaster.
