Extremely pretentious patrons. If your boat is not worth at least $1 million, don't bother docking here. Website says transients are welcome, but we were not welcomed. Other patrons told us we belonged at the city dock, they claimed it was a private marina, and they concluded by threatening to kill our captain. There is no signage stating that this is a private marina, and nobody approached us to pay a fee; there were no employees in sight. The manager was not helpful, most likely because he did not want to lose the business of his pompous wealthy patrons. You'll find another marina if you know what's good for you.
Upon entering the ‘inner’ Mallett’s Bay, immediately to the south in a protected cove is the full-service Champlain Marina, with deep-water slips, all fuels, coin laundry, clean showers and a well stocked ship store. Repairs can be accommodated with a 25-ton lift and 1-ton crane.
