Excellent dock staff, especially helpful for a new captain and crew!

Other than a broken ice machine, ( that wasn’t their fault), great as always!

The staff and the facilities are superb! Everyone here is courteous and friendly.

Great time! Only complaint is at this time of year if you are on the north side of the docks you get no shade if you are stern in. Ask for the other side of the floating docks, shade all day!!

Pleasant and helpful dock hands. Gets more expensive every year. $5 a foot, $6 bag of ice. But, not noisy. Sue is great. Luke is very helpful. Bathrooms have been done over. Still not the best but a huge improvement over past years!Great to have The Oar right there. We ate there three times! and a well stocked general/grocery store. And of course, what’s more beautiful than Block Island.

I was single-handing my Tayana 48 cutter-rig sailboat in snotty conditions - the dock staff was very helpful guiding me in and securing the boat to the pier. Excellent facilities and hospitality.

Everything was great My only suggestion would be to allow dog owners to use the grass closest to the dock on the west side (not the Oar side) for there dogs. Walking them through the muddy parking lot is not pleasant or good for my boat

This was our first time staying at The Boat Basin. The dockhands were/are very helpful and prompt. The girls in the office were also very friendly and accommodating. The Oar restaurant was fantastic. Would recommend a stay.

If it were not for Whitney I would give a 1 star rating. The dockha da were good when they were there. I made a reservation for two nights and told them I was running late via the dockwa msg system and that would not arrive until 630Pm. They responded with, "Good Morning. Thank you for letting us know! We will see you then." I arrived earlier than expected and attempted a phone call and radio call while in New Harbor at 450 pm. No response on the telephone or radio. They had already left. The vessel I was captaining was a catamaran with a 25 ft beam. It does not fit just anywhere. Fortunatley, I finally found a PORTION of a T head where I could tie off and plug into power. The first woman I spoke to the next morning could not give a flip about me. I went back and spoke to Whitney who painstakingly went through and corrected a couple bank charges and was very customer oriented. The other lady with a Bob cut was rude and dismissive. Please fire her. I overheard her being rude to another monohull guest face to face regarding slip assignments.

Always our favorite place! Block Island is an awesome northeast cruising destination and the Boat Basin is the best place to stay. Individual slips on floating docks and professional, friendly dockhands always available. Can't wait to go back.

I had booked the previous week and within the 72 hour cancellation window one of my new yamaha engines failed. So I learned that I was still charged even though I have stayed many times before without any cancellations that I can recall. Finding out that I was charged did not make this one a great trip.
