We love this marina and the location. We stopped here last year near the end of our Great Loop and, although the finish line was in sight, decided to stay for a month. We had several guests come and visit us since the location is ideal with the beach and terrific restaurants close at hand. The marina employees are all great from the minute they grab your lines until your departure. Very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we put a reminder in our calendar to sign up with Dockwa again this past August for the month of March. We are looking forward to having several guests come and stay with us this month as well. Great place!

This is an amazing marina. The location is close to everything. It is a highlight for us on our Great Loop. When we arrived the staff were very attentive to help us into our slip. Dockhand Will was particularly notable. He noticed that the pole at our slip was missing the hook. He had it repaired the next day. I highly recommend this marina.

This place has been amazing! We were running behind and Will stayed to make sure we got in, made sure we had all we needed...and even the next day was a great help making sure we knew where to have our parts sent. Everyone has been so helpful and it was such an easy marina for us to get into. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, showers, laundry facilities...and a fuel dock!

Great location & great staff. Convenient to restaurants and Clearwater Beach. You can ask for a code for parking for a discounted rate. I believe there's free laundry, but we didn't need to do laundry! Be prepared for boat traffic from touring cruises.

Excellent location! The beach is literally a 5 minute walk away. We loved having shops, restaurants, etc within walking distance. We were greeted and assisted into our slip by the nicest staff member, Will. He made sure we got in safely, showed us where the facilities were located, and checked on us throughout the week. Had a recent stay at the Clearwater Beach Marina for the Clearwater Holiday Boat Parade and it was a great stay. I was met at the fuel dock by Bill and Jim and Bill helped us dock and continued to check on things all around the marina during our stay. It was great seeing Bill and other continuosly roaming and keeping things in order with a positive attitude, and it was a wonderful experience and community. Great location and the right amenities!

The location of the Clearwater Beach Marina is what makes it so special - a ton of shops, restaurants, walking/biking paths, & beaches all near the marina. The Marina it self is in okay shape. There are not enough bathrooms and they aren't in the best shape. One thing that was interesting is that they have electronic locks for the bathrooms (and the dock gates after they close a night) that you can control with your phone (via an app) - pretty slick. They also have a couple of nice commercial washers & dryers that are also paid for via another phone app. Overall - a great place to spend a few days! Couldn't give it 5 stars based on the bathroom facilities.

Our stay at the marina was fantastic as usual. We have stayed here many times just because it is a short trip from our hailing port in Dunedin. On this trip the dockmaster was a huge help as I was having trouble backing into my slip due to the wind. He jumped into action, my wife threw him a line and he literally pulled us into our slip. Not an easy task given the wind and a 30,000 lb boat. Hats off to you sir. We always enjoy this marina and the great restaurants and bars nearby!!

Although they did bend the rules for me allowing me to stay 9 months, they were happy to see us become homeless at the end of July 2022 since we were unable to find another place for our boat/home. Also the docks are in ill repair, their employees were surly (with 1 or 2 exceptions) and the services supplied (electric, water and trash) were unreliable and unkempt.

Great location on Clearwater Beach. Price was fair for what you get ($66). Bathrooms and shower are fair. Bathrooms do have AC.
Docks are fixed not floating. We arrived after 5 and did not get assistance with docking however and we could have used it as a front was coming through. Staff was very friendly.

When we arrived on Friday it was quite breezy we had some issues trying to get into the slip. We did radio ahead to tell them we were coming in. not once did the doc master or anyone there come out of the office to help us tie up. I always tip them but there was no help to tip. Then we had to go in and ask for Wi-Fi password and codes for the gate and bathrooms and showers. On Saturday a boat was attempting to come in the slip next to us but was breezy so he radioed for help and they told him they were busy pumping gas and that he was on his own. We helped him tie off. No offer of any pump out before we left. Then a lady in another boat told us they did not help them either and that they were useless. We have been going there for years and when John was dock master this never happened. Next time we stay at coachman park marina at least they are helpful there. Don’t go to the municipal marina unless you have help getting into a slip because you are on your own there.

The Harbormaster Mr. Rick was very helpful. The marina is clean. Lots of charter traffic but nothing too bad. It’s close to stores and the beach. I would definitely come stay here again!

Everything was awesome and a great location walking distance for everything,
My first time in Clearwater and I want to come back already. My only concern was when is a low tide have to be careful with the oysters in the piles to scratch the boat, I think that is a easy fix. Other than that I have a perfect time and vacations. Thanks marina staff for be helpful and you dedicated customer services.

One of the most tired marinas we've seen, docks are very old and dirty. Staff was also tired, at best, or complacent. No help docking. No internet. After hours entry to dock required a proprietary app be downloaded, not good.

The marina was awesome. The parking was a joke. I tried for 5 days to get a parking pass. The parking attendants on site were rude and refused to let me get my pass in person. The online application was horrible and I was denied 3 times. Make this process easier and more friendly for your Marina guests.

Can’t beat the location but marina is getting pretty tired. Short fingers but they were able to get me on a T head which worked for us. Others were climbing over rails to get in their boat. And no Wifi AT ALL so in this age that knocks off at least one star. Despite all that it is still the place to be in Clearwater.

All employees, especially Kristen, were nice and helpful. We were able to meet a lot of other boaters and loopers. We give it three stars only for the boaters facilities. Although clean, there was only one large restroom/shower per gender. The Bait House restaurant (just next door) is a MUST!

The condition of the docks are poor and their App for bathroom access is Terrible! We stayed two nights and I couldn’t get my app to work, only womens bathrooms showed as available and there is no clear labeling of which each bathroom was. I ended up using the facilities on my boat! May as well have been at anchor!

Most everything went well as we've visited this marina in the past and are already planning another trip later this year. As we approached, I made several attempts to call but the phone number to the dock house apparently was redirecting to a fax line and I couldn't raise them on the radio. It seems a communication mishap resulted in them being unsure as to our request for port side dockage. We tied up at the fuel dock and finally got the proper slip and multiple apologies were offered by the dockhand then they directed us to the proper dock. We love this marina and all the activity and can't wait to go again.

Great being right on the beach front. The help did all they could to be courteous and nice. In some ways they are a little understaffed. Most marinas will have a person help you into your dock. It may have just been the time of day that we came in as they were busy at the fuel dock, but they only had one person working so he could not leave to help others get into there docks. The rest rooms and laundry facilities should be enlarged. Now with that said there are trade offs and staying that close to all the restaurants and the beach cannot be replaced.

Great marina - location, location, location. Everything is close to the marina. There are at least four restaurants right on the property. The beach is a 5 minute walk - right across the street. The Jolly Trolly stops at the marina - $5 ride all day. The docks are older fixed - so not perfect but the location is fantastic.

Dockmaster Rick apologetically offered us a commercial slip when the boat in our expected slip had engine issues. He helped us tie off next to a large dinner ship and treated us well. Will return.

This is a great spot to stay. Walking distance to everything. The shortfall is where the transient docks are can be “rocky” it quiets down at night, but the commercial traffic during the day do not understand the no wake signs.

The marina is well located and easy to get in and out of. Nice fuel and pumpout equipment. The docks are older and narrow, but perfectly fine. My only concern was the lack of security. The dock was open at all times that I came through. It is on the same place as the public ferry, the charter fishing, the dinner cruises and other high traffic areas. I never got a sense that there was anything sketchy, it is just something to make note of.

Nice stay with a good crew. Power provided was weak, (I need a Single 50Amp) so we had to ration how we used the A/C, Boiler, appliances etc... Other than that, a great place to stay.

First dock had us backed up to the parking lot behind a massive party boat. Moved our boat the next day but we’re next to a large sailboat with hundreds of birds pooping all over our boat. Moved again and electric didn’t work…left 3 days early. Bathrooms are a mess!

The municipal marina staff were very nice and helpful. We had a good slip too with great boating “neighbors”. The bathrooms were clean too. The only issue were the wakes created by larger passing cruise ships that rocked us way more than they should have.

Restaurant employees allowed to use marina shower and bath reserved for marina guest only. Wait times were terrible and no hot water.

First, all the positives.....the location is fantastic, if you want to be in the middle of all the action. Many tourists on fishing charters and dolphin sight seeing boats, excellent nearby restaurants and of course, the beach. They did answer my call on channel 16 right away and gave me my slip number. I noticed several of the older wooden docks had been replaced since my last visit. It is reasonably priced and convenient to book on Dockwa. Now the negatives....it is challenging to dock there. They are close to the Gulf, so the wind is almost constant and sometimes strong. The docks are at a 90 degree angle to these winds, so you take the full force on your starboard side as you back in. Furthermore, the fixed wood docks have very short finger piers. You must tie a stern line to their single cleat then hold the boat in the slip until your first mate can get a bow line on a forward piling. Of course it would be nice to have some help but nobody from the marina was at our slip to assist. The transients must help each other. When we went into the office to check-in, the guy was cold and unfriendly. He did a very poor job explaining the basics to us and we took the information sheet to figure things out. The WiFi did not work in the evening but it was functioning in the morning. This is a busy, open public marina so I was concerned about security. I was told they lock the gate at 10pm and there is a security guard at night. We were in bed by then, so I don't know if that happens but my impression is that security is lax. We did not visit the showers or restrooms. The fuel docks are next to the transient slips and there was a line of boats waiting for gas and diesel. This is potentially a five star marina, if the employees learned customer service and the City would invest in upgrading the docks and security.

The marina is easy to access and is located within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and beach. It's an older marina and we had some power issues running our boat on 2-50 amp plugs but got through it. No one assisted us when docking and they were hard to contact upon arrival to get slip number. No real customer service but the location is great.

The slip where they put us was crappy. The slip was right next to the opening to the inside of the marina. A lot of big charter boats (head fishing boats, party dinner boats, etc.) coming and going all times of day and night. No outside poles to tie to so boat would just bang against the dock. We had fenders out but they were no match for the wake. We ask why they did not put us in another slip as many where open. Their response was we where too wide. We are 14'3". We are a Meridian 408. There were other Meridians 411 there which have the same beam as us. We travel to about 20 to 25 different marinas a year and we can tell the difference in service from government run marina's vs. private marina's. I first wanted to move because of he smell from the bird poop. Someone did come down and poorly washed off the poop. I asked to leave the hose and I latter did a better job of washing it off. The next day, I saw another boat come in and the first thing they did was to wash the poop off the dock also. We planned of staying for three days. We left after the second day. I did talk to others who have stayed there and they said slips between the bridge and dock masters office were best.

We had a nice stay. We have stayed there several times and my biggest concern was that the docks were always covered in bird dropping and that all the vendors had keys to the boaters bath house. This has been corrected and were very happy. They have a new phone app that allows boaters only to enter showers and it was very clean. Also they cleaned the docks every morning which made it nicer to be there. Keep up the good work. We will be back!

Basic slip, 1 restroom per gender, cold showers, it's close to the beach and restaurants which is convenient but has lots of road noise all night. The public / free slips (#'s 1 - 7) are literally falling down, not sure how the county get's away with those being so dangerous.

We were less than impressed with our stay. The slip location was was right next to all the commercial boats so we got to smell diesel while trying to enjoy the deck of our boat. When we went into our boat the WiFi was so weak we couldn’t pick up a signal. We then went out to eat and upon returning the M*****F****** GATE WAS LOCKED!!! We also couldn’t use the bathroom or shower due to no key. We received no key to re-enter! The sign said to call security, we did. Guess what?? VOICEMAIL!!! 4 freekin times we called, NOBODY ANSWERED SO I HAD TO CLIMB THE F****** FENCE!!!
The good news is that the electricity was juicey so our A/C was extra cold. ;-)
Maybe next time we could get a different slip location and a key?

I always enjoy my stay at this marina, and the dockmaster along with the team are very service oriented. We had a power shutdown impacting a few terminals, including mine and it occurred at 1 am. They got a service technician to repair the issue and power was restored within an hour. That is quite impressive given the early hours of the morning. I would give this marina 5 stars, but they need to take the initiative of enforcing the idle speed in the area. Given the area, you should understand some rocking, but it is getting worse and needs attention.

We have been going to Clearwater marina for 20 years now John has always been more then accommodating very helpful and knowledgeable. The marina is kept very clean it's a pleasure getting gas there we enjoy docking our boat and staying for the weekend. The staff is so friendly we love chatting it up with them. We were just there for memorial day weekend can't wait to go back.

Marina is in a great location. The actual slip was located near fuel dock and bridge. We rocked all night. Dockmaster recommendd we request B Dock next time. We will definitely return.

Great location walk to Clearwater beach but tons of slips and put us on outside wall which was quite rocky with boat traffic. No amenities really. Diesel $2.89 . Had to ask for gate and bathroom key didn’t provide and acted like we didn’t need ... lots of your boats in marina

We couldn’t ask for better weather! We’ve stayed here several times. The only difference this time was that we called the office twice when we arrived and no one answered or returned our calls as to which slip we were supposed to tie up to. So we decided to go into a slip to inquire and no one came to help us dock, except a friendly guy in a boat close by. The dock service used to be better.

Great location. Fixed docks with posts. Much rolling and yawing during daylight hours from boat traffic. No dock hands for a difficult side tie up. Need multiple long dock lines for tides.

Awesome location. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to the Verizon coverage we had. Not the marina's fault but it's important. We didn't have better success using the marina's WiFi. We had bars for coverage but just couldn't get it to work well.

It was very difficult to get a transient slip while in route, dockmaster was insistent we use Dockwa to reserve a slip. Dockwa states it could take up to 24 hours for confirmation of a slip, calling the marina multiple times with no results with reserving a slip. Docks are old and marina only supplies 208 amps for power, barely 200 amps, most of the time the power fell below 200 amps, so we were unable to use all our A/C units ( weather in the 100's) without tripping power or A/C's shutting down due to low voltage. We had to turn off A/C's to use hot water heater, microware, etc. Real pain in the A_ _. Really no place to walk a dog if you have pets, there is a small grassy area, but quite a walk for a small dog and over a large busy asphalt parking lot that you could fry eggs on and hurt the dogs paws. We walked our dog late one night after hours and got locked out of the marina, the gates lock automatically and we were not given a key for the gate at check in, we had no cell phone on us at the time and sign said to call the security at a certain number..........luckily there was a worker that jumped the fence to access the gate from the other side to let us back to our boat. All in all, a very old marina, full of old unused boats, large party fishing boats, dinner cruise boats, sightseeing boats, tourist type attraction boats, jet skis, fishing charters, etc . It's not a place to go for a relaxing stay! The marina should be torn down and revamped with newer docks (floating) and power. The poor dock masters are busy with refueling fishing boats and jet skis all day. Our recommendation would be go somewhere else unless your wanting to do tourist type stuff or want to be around drunk fest (spring break) type of people.

The online reservation did not give a slip assignment. By the time it was confirmed and I called the marina they were closed for the day. Upon arrival the transient slips were too small for the boat, ended up tied up on a face dock. No access to marina facilities. Would have much preferred to speak to the Dockmaster to make the reservation than online.

Good stay. Only one dock hand so no body to grab our lines. Never gave us a key for gates, had to call security each night to get back to our boat. New Year's Eve, no security on site, had to wait even longer. Charging more but offering less.

Docks are old and rickety. Bird crap everywhere. Worst part is that they don’t have enough power at the pedestals to run all my a/c units. For the price I paid I expected more.

Great location near the beach. Bath and laundry facilities are clean. Clearwater Beach is very walkable with available trolley to all points on the island and points north to Tarpon Springs. Publix walkable, trolley or bike. Docks aged but the positives outweigh any negatives. Helpful staff available 7-6:30. Fuel dock w/ pump out. Looking forward t o our return.

As a professional delivery captain, I have been staying at Clearwater Marina for 15 years. In that time, very little has been done to upgrade the facilities. It would be nice to see air conditioning in the showers closest to the office. Can you imagine what it is like to use those showers in the summer time? When I have asked about it before, I was told to use the showers down by the main building but I don't feel like parading past all those people with a minimum of clothing on for showering. I don't think it would cost that much, do you?

Great Marina and good service. Location is good with many restaurants in walking distance. Clearwater trolley system works good for getting around up and down the beach area. Good place to enter the Gulf if you're going North or South.

All transient tenants will need to check in with one of our dockmasters at the Fuel Dock office. The Fuel Dock is located at the southeastern corner of our marina as you make your approach (see our map below in the photos section).

Clearwater Beach Marina has more than 200 slips and is open year-round. There are 23 slips available for transient boaters. We are equipped to accommodate vessels up to 125 feet. There is no drawbridge between our marina and the Gulf of Mexico. We offer gasoline and diesel fuel, free pumpouts, showers, 24-hour security, weather monitor, free fishing pier and waste oil disposal. 208V electric service provided. We are staffed by employees that are trained to provide the highest customer service standards to Clearwater citizens and visitors. There is no trailer parking at the Clearwater Beach Marina.
Booking Info
Maximum 3 month stay for transient tenants. When you check-in it is required you provide the dockmaster with proof of insurance - you can upload this in Dockwa too.
Please bring your smart phone with at check-in so you can be given access to locked areas of the marina facility through our virtual key app. Application is compatible with both I-Phone or Android smart phones.
A lower weekly rate will automatically be applied to your dockage cost for stays of seven (7) nights or greater.
A lower monthly rate will automatically be applied to your dockage cost for stays of thirty (30) nights or greater.
