Great marina and the team! Very accommodating

We had a transient slip for our 50’ yacht at Newport Yacht Club and Marina for the Macy’s fireworks, and the experience couldn’t have been better. From the start, the communication was excellent — the marina staff was responsive, helpful, and made the entire arrival process smooth and stress-free. This was our second time using the marina, and just like before, everything was great. The location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to downtown Jersey City, and you’re just steps away from countless great restaurants, shops, and cafes. It’s the perfect spot to dock if you want to explore the area without the hassle of transportation. The marina itself is well-maintained and secure, and the views of the Manhattan skyline are an added bonus. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Newport Yacht Club and Marina to anyone looking for a convenient, well-run place to dock in the area. We will be back again!

Great area to walk around. Roast’d had the best coffee… easy to walk to. Dock Master was very helpful both before we arrived and during arrival. He even sent us a pic of our boat coming in the channel. Very safe and secure. Would go again

Amazing location and customer service!! Everything we needed was a short walk a way and the Path was so close for a convenient and quick ride to Manhattan. Highly recommend!!

It's a very nice, unique location. Not sure you could call it a marina. It's a place in the city to dock with water and power. It's in a nice part of the city. We are fine because we don't use marina amenities anyway. It's a little rocky during the day from harbor traffic. It does calm down at night. It's a little pricey but a real nice stop. The sights at night are beautiful. Marina staff was very nice and helpful

I recently had two vessel's stay with Newport Harbor Marina. The service was nothing short of fantastic. Dockmaster Mike was very responsive and accommodating, even for my last-minute docking request's. The Marina itself was close to my crew's accommodations and other logistical needs. The docks are well protected from the Hudson River traffic and are in excellent condition. We frequent the area and will definitely be back. The detailed approach instructions were also critical for a safe inbound and outbound transit.

This is a very small marina with limited amenities however the dockmaster, Mike, makes up for that with excellent attention and service. The marina docks are new and in excellent condition with security gate, and located right in the downtown area of the newly built heart of Jersey City. It is also well protected from the rollers that plague the Hudson during the day and the slips are oriented to minimize that even more. Mike will also arrange for truck delivery of diesel for transients which is a huge convenience and savings. Book early as there is limited dockage available.

Hello all Captains, I will make this short but efficient. I was in the NY region with a 92' M/Y. Staff (Mike) was very helpful and accommodating for our specific needs. On the web page they placed an advisory about the channel entrance... NO BIG DEAL!!! If you can manage RRR,,, LOL.. Easy entrance... when inside. Close to many restaurants and services in a very nice neighborhood. Enjoyed your stay. Real!!

We recently stayed at the Newport Jersey City Marina, and it was an outstanding experience. A very long and convenient floating face dock makes docking a breeze. Water pressure on the docks is excellent, and the marina offers reliable 50/100 Amp power pedestals, which is perfect for larger vessels. The views of the New York City skyline are nothing short of breathtaking, especially during the evening hours when the city lights up. It's incredibly convenient being within walking distance of essential stores like Home Depot and ShopRite, plus there are plenty of nearby restaurants, bars, and cafes (Starbucks is on the same block, as is Battello, a fantastic upscale Italian restaurant). If you're looking to head into the city, public transportation is also in walking distance, and it's just a quick 15-minute subway ride to downtown Manhattan, making it a great location for those wanting to experience NYC without the hassle. For transients, the marina is a fantastic spot to provision (ShopRite and Morton Williams Supermarket are both walking distance), and it's also well-suited for longer stays. The marina is well-protected, with little to no wake from the Hudson River. The marina is gated and keeps tourists off the docks. Mike the dockmaster is exceptionally helpful, always ready to assist with lines. The channel into the marina is well marked and documented. Perfect location to be out of the swell that the Ferries leave on the Hudson River. Mike was exceptionally helpful with all our needs and will definitely recommend this Marina for anyone who wants peace and relaxation. Close to the Mall, restaurants and a Starbucks nearby.

We were looking for a dock and dine in the NYC/NJ area, the Newport marina in Jersey City is next door to Battello with stunning views of lower Manhattan. Their communication over the phone regarding dock availability and making reservations was prompt and kind. From there, I was instructed to contact Mike, the harbor master, half hour before arrival. They knew I was a first time user of their facility. Mike was super helpful. He sent us a map of the approach and then showed up at the dock to guide my course over the phone and grabbed our lines at the dock. We had a great dinner and a great experience, couldn't wish for anything more. We plan on returning as it was a blast.

We had a great time at the Newport Marina. Mike , the owner, went out of his way to help us with package deliveries and arranging help with arrival. Follow the well detailed approach directions and it’s an easy entry. All side ties. It is the perfect location for exploring the City, with the Newport train station one block away. Plus the view of the Manhattan skyline is tremendous. And there is a beautiful park just behind the marina for walking the dog and relaxing. Target is an easy 20 min walk for provisions. Though there aren’t any amenities like bathrooms or showers, it was fine for us as we prefer using our own, anyway. This is a great stop and great alternative to the ‘other’ big marina just south of here. Loopers! Ask for a Looper discount. Mike will work with you. 😊 Highly recommend!

I moved a 90 footer I was delivering to South Carolina to Newport Marina last week from a Manhattan dock. Couldn't believe how much calmer and nicer this location is. The boat wasn't getting beaten up at all. The area has everything we need walkable from the dock. It really is in the middle of a great neighborhood. Plus Manhattan is only one easy train stop away to visit the city. The dock staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Crew loved having groceries, the mall, bars, and restaurants across the street. Looking forward to returning on future deliveries.

Found Newport Yacht Club & Marina by word of mouth, after finding no room available at Liberty Landing. The Newport docks are set back far enough off the Hudson, with a submerged breakwater, that the high speed ferry wakes don't cause an issue. Capt Mike manages the property and is very friendly and responsive to any issue. Newport is also within walking distance of a mall, movie theater and 100+ restaurants. They also have a fire pit and some of the best views of lower Manhattan. I highly recommend.

A very low key and convenient marina located on the Jersey side of the Hudson River to dock and dine or just walk the promenade and shop. There’s also great views of the Manhattan skyline. Mike the owner and his staff were very welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be going back.
