Smithfield Station

We had a great time and everything was very enjoyable. I posted a review last year on July 8, 2025 at our last visit and complained about the lack/frustration of communication with slip assignment, the lack of dock hands and bridge construction noise. This years’ experience was refreshingly different. Two dock hands met us on our approach and were very helpful and knew what slip to put us in, still no response on VHF and I did notice that you advertise no dockhands during the weekdays, but our visit was on Friday and they were standing ready to help. We very rarely need help docking but we arrived in a ripping cross current and it really helps the stress level with dock help that realize this and know what to do to help. Brian, I appreciate your response to my last message and I am glad to see the marina attention. NO bridge construction this year, thank goodness, how relaxing the pool was compared to last year! My only negative was the price jump of $69 from last year, that is quite a jump in one year, ~60%!? Oh well if you can’t run with the big dogs, stay home, ….home is looking better year by year at these prices and fuel cost. Keep up the legacy and reputation. Thanks, Greg

Always a great time. Clean restrooms, very walkable town and nice pool. The staff is great.

We stayed nights of Jun 24 and Jun 25. Lover the restaurant and food was superb. Rest rooms and showers are very nice and clean. Nice pool and easy walk to town. Would definitely stay again

Dock hands or master not avail by phone or vhf until we were after marina. Not prepared for us. Asked if we had reservation. Could not handle lines. Failed to warn us of very strong current.. UNSAT. Restaurant on site info inaccurate and messed up meal orders telling us argumetally that it was misunderstanding. 4 adults heard order was well discussed and agreed to. Will never go back

Excellent marina. Staff was exceptional. Restaurant was the best. The overall facility was very clean, and everyone was very accommodating. Will definitely return for more visits and bring our boating friends.

Great marina with great service and facilities.

Wonderful place to visit and knowledgeable dock hand. Also enjoyed a very nice meal at their restaurant and a wonderful walk the following day around the park and town.

Arriver on a Friday night and the dock attendant was sharp and on the ball, helped us with our baggage to hotel. Nice!

We love Smithfield Station and Smithfield. A great place to visit. Docking, you are on your own during the week.

Another great marina stay in Smithfield. Plenty of fun things to do and places to go. Food was great at the restaurant and folks were friendly as usual…..!

Kathy and I visited the Smithfield Station for our second visit on 6/29/25 and stayed for four days. Just as our last stay was, this stay was perfect. Same great people, same great dining and drinks at the Smithfield Station restaurant, and same great docks & pool. The fireworks on Wednesday night were an added bonus and were fantastic. We love this place and are already planning our next visit. Mike and Kathy aboard KaM-e-lot.

The food was great! Best soft shell crabs in the 757!! Nice staff. Michael at the dock was very knowledgeable and helpful. Bathrooms were very clean and they were dog friendly.

Nice little marina. Well maintained. This is our 3rd stay there. Smithfield is a nice town to visit. Beautiful old homes. Took one star off this last time because we arrived on Friday afternoon and stayed til Monday morning and we didn’t see anyone working there. Fortunately it’s well protected and we were able to tie up on arrival, and off upon leaving. No one answering channel 16 either.

Great location, great condition with all the amenities except fuel (which isn’t an issue). Lots of dining options within walking distance!
