This alluring harbor is steeped in American history, while also being adorned with all the creature comforts of a modern urban waterfront. Now the second largest seaport in the Mid-Atlantic, Baltimore was founded almost three hundred years ago. It was in Baltimore Harbor where Francis Scott Key, a prisoner aboard a British naval ship, watched the Battle of Baltimore in awe as he wrote the words that now comprise our National Anthem. Today, Baltimore Harbor holds home to dozens of pristine facilities for visiting yachtsmen. Few harbors along the east coast have so much to offer in such close proximity.
